Sleeping Style and Body Weight
Side Sleepers
Side sleepers tend to develop pressure points at the hips and shoulders. If the mattress is too firm, these joints may be impacted and become painful. If the mattress is too soft, sleepers may sink too deeply into the mattress and risk spinal misalignment.
The SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress meets the needs of most side sleepers by providing ample support and contouring to common pressure points. Its two polyfoam comfort layers and memory foam transition layer contours to a side sleeper’s hips and shoulders, while the coil core limits sinkage. However, sleepers of different weights will require different firmness levels.
Side sleepers who weigh under 130 pounds rate the soft option as excellent. Those between 130 and 230 pounds will likely find more comfort with the medium or firm option. For side sleepers who weigh 230 pounds or more, the firm option is likely to be most comfortable as it should ensure they do not sink too deeply into the mattress.
Back Sleepers
Because back sleepers typically experience the most pressure in the lumbar area, they require a mattress that cushions the lower back without sinking excessively. Therefore, these sleepers usually do best with medium or medium firm models.
The responsive layers and pocketed coils of the SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress provide excellent support to back sleepers. The medium and firm mattress options rate best for back sleepers depending on the body weight of the sleeper.
The medium option is best for sleepers who weigh under 130 pounds. While these back sleepers under 130 pounds may also sleep alright on the soft and firm versions, those options may be either too soft or too firm respectively. Back sleepers who weigh over 130 pounds will likely find the firm option provides excellent support of the abdomen. The soft and medium firmness options may not provide adequate support.
Stomach Sleepers
Stomach sleepers are at risk of their stomachs sinking into a “U” shape if the mattress is too soft. Because of this, most stomach sleepers require a medium or firm mattress with good abdominal support and a little cushioning for comfort.
The medium and firm options of the SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress are excellent for stomach sleepers. These models cushion without too much contouring to gently cradle a stomach sleeper’s body while preventing it from sinking in excessively. Additionally, the mattress’s pocketed coils promote proper spinal alignment.
Stomach sleepers should choose the firmness level based on their body weight. Those who weigh under 130 pounds will probably have the best combination of cushion and support with the medium level of firmness. Sleepers who weigh over 130 pounds will likely benefit from the firm option, which should prevent excess sinkage.
SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress Review Breakdown
The SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress is a 13.5-inch hybrid bed with three firmness options. The soft option is a 3 on a firmness scale of 10, the medium option rates as a 5, , and the firm option rates as a 7.
This mattress has two comfort layers and one transition layer, all of various foam compositions. The support core is constructed with one layer of pocketed coils and one layer of dense polyfoam. Each firmness option uses the same materials.
The top layer of the mattress is 1.5 inches of copper-infused Energex polyfoam. Energex foam is engineered to combine the contouring of memory foam and the responsiveness of latex, and the copper infusion is intended to add antimicrobial properties. The second layer is 2 inches of gel-infused ArcticPhase polyfoam designed to keep sleepers cool. Next is 1 inch of transitional visco-elastic memory foam, which isolates motion well while acting as a barrier between the comfort system and firmer coil core.
An 8-inch layer of Quantum Edge pocketed coils acts as the support core. Because the coils can move independently, the mattress is responsive while still isolating motion. The last layer of the mattress is 1 inch of dense, durable polyfoam. This layer helps support the coils to allow them to compress for added pressure relief.
These five layers give the SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress its 13.5-inch height. Since this is an above-average mattress height, customers may need to purchase deep-pocket sheets to fit the mattress correctly.
The quilted cover contains phase change material (PCM). Because this material can absorb and release energy, it regulates temperature.

Mattress Prices and Sizing
The SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress is sold at approximately the average cost for a hybrid mattress. Because of their construction materials, hybrid mattresses tend to cost more than all-foam or innerspring mattresses. Given the quality of materials and mattress height, the SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress could be considered a good value.
The prices of SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid are the same for all three firmness level options. There are no add-ons or other features with this mattress, so each size is one price.
SpineAlign occasionally has discount codes customers can use on their website.

Trial, Warranty, and Shipping Policies
The SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattress is available exclusively from the SpineAlign website. SpineAlign does not operate any brick and mortar stores.
The mattress ships in the United States and Canada.
SpineAlign ships the mattress free via FedEx Ground or USPS anywhere in the contiguous United States. Shipping is also available to Alaska and Hawaii, for an additional $250. International shipping to Canada is done through UPS, also for a $250 fee.
SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid Mattresses are made to order. Orders take between 7 and 14 business days to process, build, and deliver. Mattresses are shipped from the West Coast of the United States, so delivery times may be shorter for those located in the region.
Customers must set up their own mattress. The mattress arrives in a box and is compressed and wrapped in plastic. Customers should carefully cut open the plastic to allow the mattress to decompress. The mattress should be mostly decompressed within a few minutes, but it may take up to 24 hours to fully decompress after unwrapping. SpineAlign recommends customers wait 3–5 hours before laying on the mattress.
Old mattress removal and white glove delivery services are not available from SpineAlign
SpineAlign offers a 100-day sleep trial. Customers are required to sleep on the mattress for 30 nights from the delivery date before initiating a return. Customers who choose to return or exchange their mattress before the 30 day break-in period is over may be subject to a restocking fee. The 100-night guarantee is void if the mattress leaves the United States.
After the 30 day break-in period, customers can decide if they would like to exchange for a different firmness level or return the mattress. Customers should initiate an exchange or return by emailing SpineAlign. Mattresses with stains or tears are ineligible for exchange or refund.
Exchanges are available once per year per customer, and exchanged mattresses are nonrefundable. To exchange a mattress, the customer must purchase it and then initiate the return process on the first mattress once they receive the replacement.
Refunds will be given with proof of donation to a charity or donation center. Customers should also have pictures of the mattress, legal tag, and mattress base.
The SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid has a 10-year limited warranty. This warranty begins on the date you place your order and is non-transferrable. It covers defects such as body indentations 1 inch or greater and deterioration of foam from normal usage. A replacement mattress will be provided if a defect is found.
The warranty does not cover abuse, physical damage, minor imperfections, or normal wear and tear. Mattresses must be used on proper foundations or the warranty is voided.
Additional terms and conditions apply.
