The DreamCloud Premier is the company’s mid-range option, but it performs better than significantly more expensive models on the market. It’s comfortable for a wide range of sleeper types and supportive enough to work for most weight groups. It also sleeps cool, has strong edge support, and prevents motion transfer.

The DreamCloud Premier Hybrid is a 13-inch, multi-layer mattress that builds on the popularity of the original DreamCloud Classic Hybrid.
The base model of the DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid mattress, but it is also offered in a memory foam model. The hybrid includes features like a stretch blend cover quilted with cooling fibers and a comfort system with two different foam layers. It’s also backed by a lifetime warranty and a sleep trial that lasts for a full year.
We brought the DreamCloud Premier Hybrid into our test lab so that the experts on our team could see how it performed for different sleepers and in different performance categories. We cover all those test results and go over how the mattress is built, its pricing, and other details that can help you decide if it’s a good fit for your sleep needs.

Testing Team Takeaways
To test the DreamCloud Premier Hybrid, we had three people on our testing team each take the bed home with them for one week. Here are their initial observations.
Daniel Noyed
Senior Product Editor
Back sleeper
165 pounds
Dunks head in ice water to wake up
The DreamCloud Premier lives up to everything we love about luxury mattresses but without the steep price tag. I loved the Premier’s gentle contour and sturdy, supportive feel.
Logan Foley
Editorial Director
Side sleeper
140 pounds
Has too many dogs in the bed
Because I’m a side sleeper, I liked the balanced feel of the DreamCloud Premier. I could feel the foam layers lightly hugging my shoulders and hips, but I never sensed that I was sinking into the bed.
Brad Nehring
Senior Product Analyst
Side sleeper
215 pounds
Sleeps with a weighted blanket
Like Logan, I really loved how the mattress prevented painful impact around my key pressure points. The sturdiness and light bounce from the coils kept me feeling supported even as the foam contoured to my hips and shoulders.

Side Sleepers
The DreamCloud Premier is a great fit for side sleepers, especially those over 130 pounds. The hybrid and all-foam models effectively relieve pressure around the hips and shoulders, which are the key hot spots for side sleepers.
As a result, the mattress enables a consistent and neutral spinal alignment. Some side sleepers under 130 pounds may find this mattress to be on the firmer side, but it still provides them with solid support. People over 230 pounds generally prefer the hybrid model because of the added bounce and edge support from the pocketed coils.
Back Sleepers
Most back sleepers get above-average support from the DreamCloud Premier. The foam layers gently cushion the lumbar spine to relieve pressure. However, the mattress doesn’t sink or sag, allowing back sleepers to maintain a healthy sleep posture.
In our evaluation, the mattress was most effective for back sleepers under 230 pounds. The back sleepers on our testing team expressed a slight preference for the hybrid model and the light springiness that comes from the coils.
Stomach Sleepers
During our testing, most stomach sleepers said that the DreamCloud Premier was good but not the best. In general, the mattress felt too plush and contouring, which some testers said caused their midsection to push too deeply into the foam layers.
The mattress was least supportive for stomach sleepers over 230 pounds. Of the two models, our testers said that the hybrid model did a better job of maintaining a flat and even sleep surface.
Mattress Performance
In addition to the hands-on feedback from our team, we conduct a number of quantitative tests in our Test Lab. The below ratings are based on the experience of our testers.
Motion Isolation
7.5
/ 10
“As you might expect from a mattress with memory foam, the DreamCloud Premier was effective at keeping vibrations from traveling across the mattress.” – Danny
The DreamCloud Premier Hybrid offers couples and bed partners a high degree of motion isolation. With two memory foam layers, the mattress compresses only where weight is directly applied, which helps reduce disruptions from movement on the other side of the bed.
We found that motion isolation was slightly better on the all-foam model. The hybrid has a bit of bounce from the coils. That said, couples using either model can expect only the lightest of motion transfer.
Pressure Relief
9
/ 10
“I really appreciated the ability of this mattress to cushion my hips and shoulders without feeling excessively soft. I didn’t feel any pressure buildup and got out of bed without aches and pains.” – Logan
Pressure relief is one of the standout characteristics of the DreamCloud Premier. Its combination of foam layers creates a compelling balance of comfort and support. There’s enough tailored cushioning to enhance spinal alignment, and there’s enough firmness to keep you from feeling like you’re sinking into the mattress.
The pressure relief is almost the same in the two models, but some of our testers felt that the hybrid gave a touch more support thanks to bounce and sturdiness.
Temperature Control
7
/ 10
“I can’t say that the DreamCloud Premier slept cool, per se, but I also didn’t wake up in a sweat. For a mattress with two layers of memory foam, that’s a solid level of temperature neutrality.” – Brad
Temperature control is about average on the DreamCloud Premier. The memory foam layers are infused with gel to decrease heat retention, but there can still be some warmth that collects in the foams. In most cases, it’s not enough to make you overheat, but people who are naturally hot sleepers may not be the best match for this mattress.
Of the two models, the hybrid sleeps cooler because the coils permit considerably more ventilation than the high-density polyfoam in the support core of the all-foam version.
Edge Support
8
/ 10
“The edges of the hybrid model felt really secure to me, even when sitting on the edge of the bed.” – Danny
Our testing team raved about the edge support on the hybrid model of the DreamCloud Premier Hybrid. Whether sleeping near the edge or sitting on the bed to tie their shoes, they felt that the mattress was solid and sturdy beneath them.
Much of that edge support comes from the coils, which are reinforced to be stronger around the perimeter. On the all-foam model, there was more compression around the edge of the mattress.
Ease of Movement
7
/ 10
“This isn’t the easiest mattress to move on, but I also didn’t find it bothersome when I wanted to turn over or adjust my body’s position.” – Logan
Our testing team found that ease of movement was roughly average on the DreamCloud Premier. The contouring foams can create a small barrier to movement, but it’s not especially bothersome. If you need to roll over or switch to a different sleeping position, it’s unlikely that you’ll find it difficult.
Movement is a bit easier on the hybrid model because of the responsiveness that comes from the pocketed coils.
Off-Gassing
7.5
/ 10
“The off-gassing from this mattress was about what I expected. There was a bit of a chemical scent for about a day, but it went away pretty quickly after I opened the window in my bedroom.” – Brad
The amount of off-gassing from the DreamCloud Premier is in line with most other mattresses that get shipped to your door. When you first remove the packaging, you can expect there to be a “new mattress smell,” but it’s not overpowering and goes away within a day or two.
The smell is stronger with the all-foam model but should still fade away quickly if you turn on a fan or open a window in your bedroom.
The DreamCloud Premier Hybrid is medium firm (6). The total height is 13 inches.
The cover is a soft, stretch-knit fabric blend quilted with cooling fibers within a Euro-top surface.
There are two foam layers in the comfort system. A layer of gel-infused memory foam is quilted into the Euro-top. Beneath that, there’s a layer of responsive transitional polyfoam.
The hybrid model has a support core made of 8 inches of pocketed coils with a reinforced perimeter for extra edge support. Beneath the coils is a thin polyfoam pad to absorb vibrations. In the all-foam model, the coils are replaced by an 8-inch layer of high-density polyfoam.
