Founded in 2018, DreamCloud got its start producing affordable hybrid models with advanced materials. Since then, the product line has expanded to include all-foam mattresses along with bed frames and bedding. The Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress is among the company’s most premium models. This 14-inch medium firm (6) foam option contains a generous memory foam comfort system built for exceptional pressure relief.

While DreamCloud markets the Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress as the all-foam counterpart to the DreamCloud Premier Rest, the latter is higher profile, has a medium (5) feel, and uses a hybrid design with a coil core. The DreamCloud Premier Mattress is the brand’s popular mid-range option. Like the Premier Rest, it has a medium firm (6) feel and comes in hybrid and foam-based options. The DreamCloud Mattress is a budget-friendly model that also has a medium firm (6) feel and is available in hybrid and all-foam designs.

However, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress is likely to stand out for shoppers seeking a luxury, high-profile, all-foam model. We’ll break down how it performed in our in-house tests, which of our team members found it most comfortable, and how its construction might influence your sleep experience.

Side Sleepers

Thanks to its thick comfort system, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress is well suited to side sleeping. The Euro-top is quilted with both memory foam and polyfoam to simultaneously mold to and cushion a side sleeper’s curves. Underneath, another 2 inches of memory foam and 2 inches of polyfoam add deeper contouring while redistributing a side sleeper’s weight so that less pressure accumulates around their hips and shoulders.

The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress earned strong marks for side sleeping from all of our testers. Those between 130 and 230 pounds reported the best combination of cradling and support. Team members over 230 pounds sank in more deeply when lying on their sides, but they still maintained good posture without experiencing sharp pressure points. Those under 130 pounds felt a bit of pressure around their hips and shoulders but were comfortable overall.

Back Sleepers

The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress’ medium firm (6) feel and gentle contouring are appropriate for many back sleepers. The Euro-top’s memory foam and polyfoam quilting cradles a back sleeper’s lumbar region, while the layers of memory foam and polyfoam underneath help spread out their weight more evenly to prevent their hips from sinking excessively.

Our testers under 130 pounds found the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress closest to ideal for back sleeping. Since they didn’t sink in as deeply, the bed provided the relatively even plane they wanted without feeling hard. Those over 130 pounds also enjoyed the mattress, though some felt slightly firmer support would have promoted better posture.

Stomach Sleepers

Even, consistent support is usually the highest priority for stomach sleepers, and the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress can provide this for many who favor the position. The quilted Euro-top softens the surface so that it feels plush against a stomach sleeper’s front side, while the memory foam and polyfoam layers underneath enhance the weight distribution to limit sagging.

In our tests, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress performed best for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds. These team members stayed more fully atop the surface of the bed, which prevented their abdomens from sinking excessively. Many testers over 130 pounds also felt that the mattress helped them maintain good posture. However, some who carry more of their weight near their centers reported that their midsections sank in a bit too far, putting pressure on their lower backs.

Mattress Performance

In addition to the hands-on feedback from our team, we conduct a number of quantitative tests in our Test Lab. The below ratings are based on the experience of our testers.

Motion Isolation

8.5/10

With an all-foam construction and generous comfort system, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress limits most motion transfer. For sleepers who share their bed with a partner, this can help reduce sleep interruptions.

Layers of memory foam and polyfoam in the Euro-top cover provide surface-level motion isolation, simultaneously reducing how much movement reaches the core and dampening any vibrations emanating from the core. Another two inches of memory foam under the Euro-top further absorbs motion, and few vibrations travel across the polyfoam transition layer or core.

We used a device similar to a seismograph to measure vibrations and asked our testers to report their subjective experience on the mattress. Both types of tests recorded very minimal motion transfer. Our testers reported that a partner moving around on the opposite side of the bed would be unlikely to wake them, making this bed a good option for sleepers who share their bed and awaken easily.

Pressure Relief

8.5/10

Pressure relief is one of the Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress’ greatest strengths.

Its Euro-top cover is quilted with two distinct types of foam: memory foam and polyfoam. The memory foam layer conforms in response to the sleeper’s heat and weight, and a gel infusion is designed to transfer away heat. Meanwhile, the polyfoam adds cushioning and support to enhance comfort and promote good posture. Underneath the Euro-top cover, additional layers of gel-infused memory foam and polyfoam add deeper contouring while limiting sagging.

Combined, the comfort and transition layers total 5.7 inches thick, including 3.2 inches of memory foam. This leaves ample room for heavier body parts to sink in so that the mattress can redistribute their weight and prevent the sleeper from pressing against the firmer core.

We used a pressure mapping tool to visualize how the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress distributed our testers’ weight. Most team members experienced minimal pressure buildup, but some side sleepers under 130 pounds noticed a little around their hips and shoulders because they didn’t sink as deeply into the medium firm (6) surface.

Temperature Control

6/10

Foam mattresses with generous memory foam layers frequently trap heat, but the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress stays at a relatively neutral temperature.

Its breathable cover lets air circulate, and gel infusions in the memory foam layers and the polyfoam transition layer are engineered to transfer heat away from the body.

Most of our testers thought the surface remained at a comfortable temperature throughout our assessments. However, some team members over 230 pounds noticed more heat retention because they sank farther into the surface, reducing cooling airflow around their bodies. Our surface temperature readings also showed less heat buildup than many memory foam models.

Edge Support

7.5/10

The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress has a fairly stable edge on par with many medium firm (6) foam models.

Like most foam mattresses, the Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress does not have a reinforced perimeter. However, the layered construction helps balance conforming and support to prevent excessive compression along the sides. Additionally, the mattress’ feel is on the higher end of the average firmness range, making it sturdier than many models.

Our team members felt supported enough to sit and lay along the edge of the bed. Those over 230 pounds reported feeling less secure than their lighter counterparts, but no one said they needed to gravitate toward the center of the bed for greater stability.

Overall, we expect the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress’ edge support will allow most couples to use every inch of the mattress and make it easier for sleepers with mobility issues to get into and out of bed.

Ease of Movement

6/10

Compared to many foam models that incorporate substantial memory foam layers, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress is easy to move on.

Memory foam molds to the body and retains an impression for a moment when the sleeper changes positions. Because of this, thick layers of memory foam can create a sensation of being trapped in the bed. While the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress uses 3.2 inches of memory foam in total, it’s divided between two layers separated by more responsive polyfoam. You’ll still experience the hug of memory foam, but without a significant lingering body impression. The medium firm (6) feel also limits sinkage to prevent deep, restrictive contouring.

None of our testers noted much difficulty changing positions, though those over 230 pounds felt a little less agile on the surface because they sank in more deeply.

Given the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress’ ease of movement, we recommend it for anyone seeking the conforming of memory foam balanced with seamless mobility.

Off-Gassing

6.5/10

Like virtually all mattresses that contain foam and ship compressed, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress may have some off-gassing odors. Traditionally, manufacturing foam produces volatile organic compounds (VOCs). When a mattress is sealed for shipment, the VOCs linger until the mattress has time to air out in your home. Some owners prefer to let it dissipate before using their new mattress.

We found that the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress didn’t have as strong of a smell as many models, and our team members detected very little odor after 48 hours.

Additionally, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress uses CertiPUR-US certified foam, which means it meets third-party standards related to emissions and contents.

DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress Review Breakdown

The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress is a high-profile, medium firm (6) foam model that measures 14 inches thick.

A Euro-top cover cushions the surface. The fabric component consists of a cashmere blend for softness and breathability. Quilted into the cover are two layers of foam. The top layer uses 1.2 inches of gel memory foam engineered to mold closely to the sleeper’s curves while transferring away heat. Next, .5 inches of polyfoam add responsive conforming and support to ease pressure and facilitate movement.

Beneath the Euro-top cover, another 2 inches of gel-infused memory foam further enhances the pressure-relieving properties by cradling wider areas more deeply. Meanwhile, a 2-inch transition layer of gel-infused polyfoam improves weight distribution to help support the spine’s natural curvature. Finally, a 9-inch polyfoam core serves as a firm base for the mattress’ upper layers. A tufted lower cover designed to limit shifting wraps around the outer edge, and four handles along the sides make the mattress easier to move.

Trial, Warranty, and Shipping Policies

Availability

DreamCloud sells the Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress directly through its website and ships within the 50 U.S. states. This mattress is also available through Amazon and select brick-and-mortar retailers. However, note that separate policies apply to purchases through third-party vendors.

Shipping

Orders of the Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress through the official DreamCloud website ship for free within the contiguous U.S., while deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii incur an extra $250 fee.

Most mattresses ship via FedEx within one or two business days and arrive two to five business days later. FedEx leaves the boxed mattress at your door or wherever you ordinarily receive large packages. From there, most new owners move their mattresses inside with the help of a partner. Once the package is in your room of choice, slide the mattress out of the box, place it on a suitable frame, and carefully remove the wrapping.

While the mattress immediately begins expanding, it may take up to three days to reach its full size. However, you can lie on the mattress right away.

Additional Services

For a $199 fee, DreamCloud offers White Glove delivery with new mattress setup and old mattress removal. Once they receive your mattress, a local service provider will reach out to schedule a two-hour delivery window. Expect the process to take a few days longer than the standard shipping option.

Sleep Trial

The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress comes with a 365-night sleep trial. After sleeping on the bed for 30 nights to adjust, buyers have the option of returning a mattress in donatable condition for a full refund of the purchase price. DreamCloud helps arrange for the donation or disposal of the unwanted mattress.

Warranty

A limited lifetime warranty backs the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam Mattress. Covered issues include indentations over 1.5 inches deep, physical flaws that lead to splitting, cracking, or degradation of the foam, and mattress cover assembly defects. If the original purchaser reports a covered defect that is not the result of abuse or misuse, DreamCloud will elect to replace or repair the mattress.

For the first 10 years of ownership, DreamCloud replaces defective mattresses at no cost to the owner. For the remainder of the warranty, DreamCloud may choose to either replace or repair a qualifying mattress. While the owner may incur a $50 transportation fee each way, DreamCloud waives the fee if the company confirms a defect.
