Its large product line includes pillows, sheets, blankets, comforters, mattress pads, mattress toppers, bed frames, and more. Linenspa products are sold through the Linenspa website, Amazon, and several other retailers. Some product options may not be available from every vendor.

The mattress line currently consists of six models, and each mattress’s name indicates the type of mattress and its thickness. Models include the 8 Inch Memory Foam Hybrid, the 10 Inch Memory Foam Hybrid, the 12 Inch Gel Memory Foam Hybrid, the 10 Inch Latex Hybrid, the 6 Inch Innerspring, and the 5 Inch Gel Memory Foam.

As one of the company’s most popular models, the 8 Inch Memory Foam Hybrid is also frequently referred to as the Linenspa Mattress. Side Sleepers

An individual’s hips and shoulders tend to be the widest parts of their body, so these areas usually put more force on a mattress when a person sleeps on their side. The Linenspa Mattress has a 1.5-inch comfort layer, which may be on the thin side for some side sleepers. Their hips and shoulders may sink in against the coil core, which could lead to pressure points.

Side sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds may enjoy a good balance of softness and support. The coil core should adjust to their shape, while the polyfoam comfort layer should give enough cushioning for added comfort.

Because of its firm feel, the Linenspa Mattress might be a little too firm for some side sleepers who weigh under 130 pounds. It may not have enough give to accommodate their curves, which could contribute to pressure buildup. Side sleepers who weigh over 230 pounds may sink in excessively near their hips and shoulders, which could make it difficult to maintain proper spinal alignment.

Back Sleepers

One of the main pitfalls that back sleepers often experience is sagging near their hips. The Linenspa Mattress’s 1.5-inch comfort layer does not leave much room to sink in before reaching the sturdy coil core, so most back sleepers are unlikely to experience much if any noticeable sinkage. This even plane can help support the natural curvature of a back sleeper’s spine.

Across all weight groups, most back sleepers should get the support they need when sleeping on the Linenspa Mattress. Those who weigh under 130 pounds may not enjoy as much cushioning, but they should get ample support. Back sleepers who weigh over 130 pounds may get a better balance between cushioning and support, though some individuals may find their hips dip into the bed slightly. However, this is unlikely to be significant.

Stomach Sleepers

The weight of an individual’s hips and bellies could drag their midsection too deeply into a mattress if the mattress isn’t supportive enough. Thanks to its firm feel, relatively thin comfort layer, and sturdy coil core, the Linenspa Mattress should give enough support to prevent a stomach sleeper’s midsection from pulling them too far into the bed. This should make it easier to maintain better spinal alignment. The quilted cover and polyfoam comfort layer also give a touch of plushness, which many stomach sleepers enjoy.

Stomach sleepers from all weight groups are likely to get sufficient support. The Linenspa Mattress may be firmer than ideal for some individuals who weigh less than 130 pounds, but they should get the support they need to keep their spines aligned. Individuals who weigh over 130 pounds should experience a blend of cushioning and support, but those who carry extra weight near their midsections could sink in slightly more than ideal.

Mattress Performance

In addition to the hands-on feedback from our team, we conduct a number of quantitative tests in our Test Lab. The below ratings are based on the experience of our testers.

Motion Isolation

5.5 / 10

Compared to most hybrid models, the Linenspa Mattress has moderate motion isolation. The memory foam quilted into the cover and the 1.5-inch polyfoam comfort layer absorb some motion, so most sleepers shouldn’t feel every little movement of their partners. However, the coil core could contribute to the spread of motion. These springs give the bed bounce, which often leads to motion transfer. Since the coils are not pocketed, vibrations could also spread between coils.

Pressure Relief

5 / 10

The Linenspa Mattress offers less pressure relief than many hybrid models. At 1.5 inches thick, its comfort layer is relatively thin, so some sleepers are likely to sink in against the firmer coil core. While the polyfoam comfort layer and quilted memory foam cover give some cushioning, the bed doesn’t redistribute the sleeper’s body weight to the same extent as many models. This could lead to more pressure buildup around wider, heavier body parts.

Temperature Control

6.5 / 10

Like many hybrid models, the Linenspa Mattress permits enough airflow to help cool the sleep surface. The polyfoam in its comfort layer is more breathable than most memory foam, so it shouldn’t retain a lot of heat. Extra heat can also dissipate thanks to the ample air circulation through the coil core. However, memory foam quilted into the cover may trap some heat.

Most sleepers are likely to stay cool enough on the Linenspa Mattress, but those who are particularly prone to overheating may be more aware of its mild heat retention.

Edge Support

6.5 / 10

The Linenspa Mattress has moderate edge support, which is similar to many hybrid models. Its tempered steel coils give the edge of the bed a sturdy feel. Since the comfort system is relatively thin, sleepers won’t need to sink in far before they reach the firm core and its supportive edge. Most sleepers should feel secure enough to use the full mattress surface, including sitting and sleeping near the perimeter. However, heavier individuals could experience more notable edge sinkage.

Ease of Movement

6.5 / 10

The Linenspa Mattress’s ease of movement is on par with many hybrid models. Conforming from its quilted cover and polyfoam comfort layer could impede movement slightly. However, since this comfort system is relatively thin, most sleepers are unlikely to sink in enough to feel trapped in the bed. Additionally, the polyfoam used in the mattress’s comfort layer returns to its original shape more quickly than most memory foam, so it shouldn’t retain a body impression for long after the sleeper changes positions. The coil core adds to the Linenspa Mattress’s responsive feel.

Off-Gassing

6 / 10

Any mattress may have an initial odor, and the same is true of the Linenspa Mattress. Synthetic foams are particularly prone to manufacturing smells. The Linenspa Mattress uses synthetic foam and ships compressed, so odors may be released as the mattress decompresses in your home. Thanks to its breathable hybrid design, these smells should air out fairly quickly. If the smell bothers you, you can leave your new mattress in a separate room with good air circulation until it airs out. You can usually expect this process to take between a few hours and a few days.

Linenspa Mattress Review Breakdown

The Linenspa Mattress has a firm feel, rating at 7 on the 10-point firmness scale. This rating puts the Linenspa a bit on the firmer end of the firmness range most sleepers tend to prefer. At 8 inches thick, the Linenspa Mattress has a relatively low profile compared to other models.

A blend of polyester, rayon, and polypropylene makes up the cover of the mattress. Memory foam is quilted into the cover for a plusher feel. The comfort layer uses 1.5 inches of polyfoam for cushioning. Polyfoam tends to be more breathable than memory foam, so this layer shouldn’t trap a lot of heat. A felt pad separates the comfort layer from the core.

Finally, 6.5 inches of tempered steel coils act as the support core, reinforcing the mattress surface while providing bounce. Air can flow between the coils, which further regulates the temperature of the bed.
