That being said, the chest and shoulders need cushioning.
For stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds, a softer mattress is better for the chest and shoulders, and still properly supports the hips. That is the case for the Beautyrest Black mattress. Its medium firm feel offers strong support and comfort for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds. It only offers fair support for stomach sleepers over 230 pounds, as they are more likely to sink into the mattress.
