The Novilla Bliss Mattress is topped with gel-infused memory foam comfort layer that is designed to keep sleepers cool and comfortable throughout the night. Its machine-washable cover is made from bamboo-derived rayon, a material that aims to enhance the mattress’ breathability.

Novilla products offer high-quality materials at an affordable price-point. With an extra layer of adaptive polyfoam, the mattress is plush and supportive without sacrificing your budget.

Like all of Novilla’s memory foam products, the Bliss Mattress is CertiPUR-US certified. Having this certification means the mattress is free of potentially harmful substances and chemicals, such as mercury, heavy metals, phthalates, flame retardants, or formaldehyde.

Novilla Bliss Mattress Review Breakdown

The Novilla Bliss Mattress has a medium (5) firmness level that offers enough cushioning and support to relieve pressure points. Suitable for most body types, the mattress contains four layers of high-density memory foam that evenly distributes weight while preventing sinking or sagging. It also has an additional layer of adaptive polyfoam to keep the mattress feeling plush and comfortable.

With its medium firmness, this Novilla mattress aims to relieve pressure points in the shoulders, lower back, and hips. Composed of contouring memory foam, the mattress conforms to the gaps between your body and mattress that naturally form when you lay down..

Hot sleepers will appreciate the Bliss Mattress’ memory foam infused with cooling gel, which is designed to draw heat away from the body. The bed’s removable rayon covering is also designed to help keep you cool and comfortable while you rest.

Along with its breathability, the Bliss Mattress’ machine-washable cover is naturally hypoallergenic. It protects against mold, dust mites, pet dander, and other allergens, making it a good choice for those with allergies.

Though the Novilla Bliss Mattress is suitable for most types of sleepers, including back, stomach, and side sleepers, it’s especially fitting for side and back sleepers under 130 pounds. Couples will also appreciate the Novilla mattress’ exceptional motion isolation.

The Novilla Bliss Mattress is available in four sizes: twin, full, queen, and king. It fits all bed frames, including box spring frames and adjustable beds.

Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is one of the most prominent perks of the Novilla Bliss Mattress. As an all-foam mattress, it excels at preventing motion transfer in bed. This is especially beneficial for sleepers who frequently change positions or share a bed.

Motion isolation allows those who share a bed to get up without disturbing their partner. As a result, the mattress absorbs movement and reacts slowly to motion. Those who easily awaken due to sound or movement will especially enjoy the motion isolation in the Novilla Bliss Mattress.

Traditional innerspring mattresses contain coils that respond to every small movement, which can make sleeping with a partner difficult. Switching to a memory foam mattress may reduce nighttime disturbances from too much movement.

Pressure Relief

The Novilla Bliss Mattress contains four layers of high-density memory foam to hug the body’s contours.

With a medium firmness level, the Novilla Bliss Mattress is ideal for pressure relief. A mattress that’s too soft causes the midsection to sink too far into the bed, which can put pressure on the spine. Meanwhile, an overly firm mattress can lead to pressure points on the hips and shoulders, particularly for side sleepers.

The Novilla Bliss Mattress evenly distributes weight and cradles the back and neck to promote proper spinal alignment.

Temperature Control

Constructed with gel-infused memory foam and a removable, breathable rayon cover, the Novilla Bliss Mattress does a decent job at keeping sleepers cool throughout the night for its price.

Hot sleepers tend to wake up throughout the night. It can be difficult to get a quality night’s sleep on a mattress that traps heat, which many all-foam mattresses do.

With four layers of high-density foam, the Novilla Bliss may not stay cool as well as other foam mattresses with more advanced cooling features. Very hot sleepers may want to consider a different type of mattress with more airflow, such as a hybrid or innerspring model.

Edge Support

The Novilla Bliss Mattress doesn’t offer the strong edge support that traditional innerspring and hybrid mattresses do, though it is significant for an all-foam bed.

Edge support refers to the strength in the edges surrounding a mattress. Mattresses with poor edge support feel weak and soft around their borders. Without proper edge support, sleepers can feel like they’re slipping off the bed if they roll too close to the edge during the night.

Some individuals may find it a struggle to get out of bed with ease on the Novilla Bliss Mattress. Sleepers over 230 pounds and those who share the bed with a partner can also benefit from a mattress with strong edge support.

Ease of Movement

Thanks to its four layers of high-density foam, the Novilla Bliss Mattress offers good ease of movement. The mattress has a medium firmness level, which allows it to be both conforming and responsive.

Ease of movement is especially important for couples and those who frequently change positions throughout the night. If a mattress is too soft and conforming, it can hinder a sleeper’s ability to roll or get out of bed. Being able to switch positions quickly can make for a more comfortable sleeping experience.

A good night’s sleep isn’t the only reason to choose the perfect mattress. For those with an active sex life, responsiveness in a mattress is just as important as comfort. Many all-foam mattresses fail to offer the bounce couples prefer for sex.

With below average edge support, the Novilla Bliss Mattress isn’t as ideal for sex as some other all-foam mattresses. Lack of support around the perimeter of the mattress can increase the risk of falling off the bed.

However, the bed’s excellent ease of movement does facilitate changing positions easily, which is a benefit for couples.

Off-gassing refers to the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that often occurs in all-foam mattresses. The Novilla Bliss Mattress is no exception, but its off-gassing isn’t as pronounced as some other all-foam mattresses.

The off-gassing process is most noticeable when the mattress expands after manufacturing. While it may produce an unpleasant smell at first, off-gassing is generally considered not harmful.

Because the Novilla Bliss Mattress contains four layers of high-density foam, off-gassing may be more noticeable than some of its competitor products made with low-density foam.

In most cases, off-gassing smells dissipate once the mattress has been able to air out. However, those with odor sensitivities may want to consider a different mattress, particularly one with an innerspring or pocketed coil support core.

Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers:
Side sleepers will find an optimal balance of cushion and support with the Novilla Bliss Mattress. Four layers of memory foam allow this mattress to promote proper spinal alignment. Side sleepers under 130 pounds sink into the mattress just enough to cradle and support the spaces between their hips and neck.

With a medium firmness level, the Novilla Bliss Mattress is ideal for sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds. The mattress is firm enough to distribute weight evenly, relieving pressure points, yet soft enough to support and cushion the contours of the spine.

Side sleepers above 230 pounds will appreciate the level of support that the Novilla Bliss Mattress offers. With fair edge support and high-density foam that conforms to the spine, the Bliss Mattress is resistant to heavy sinking. However, heavier side sleepers typically need a firmer mattress to feel comfortable throughout the night.

Back Sleepers:
Back sleepers under 130 pounds typically need a slightly firm mattress to achieve proper spinal alignment. Fortunately, the Novilla Bliss Mattress is just firm enough to support the spine. Its medium firmness level also offers the right amount of cushion to prevent pressure points from forming.

The Novilla Bliss Mattress is suitable for back sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds. Its four layers of high-density foam offer a healthy balance of support and cushion to evenly distribute weight. While the Bliss Mattress can help relieve pressure points, some heavier back sleepers may prefer a firmer mattress for added support.

For back sleepers over 230 pounds, the Novilla Bliss Mattress may not feel firm enough to provide the support they need. Heavier sleepers may sink too far into the mattress due to its medium firmness level. A firm mattress would better suit heavier sleepers.

Stomach Sleepers:
The Novilla Bliss Mattress is a good option for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds. With a medium firmness level, the mattress can prevent the stomach from sinking in, which promotes spinal alignment.

Some stomach sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds typically enjoy a firm mattress that prevents the midsection from sinking too deeply. Many heavier stomach sleepers will find the Novilla Bliss Mattress satisfactory for their needs. However, some can benefit from a firmer mattress for stronger support.

Stomach sleepers over 230 pounds may find that the Novilla Bliss Mattress lacks the support they need, as the bed’s all-foam construction and medium firmness level can allow their midsections to sink too far into the mattress. This hinders proper spinal alignment and can lead to next-day aches. A firmer mattress that supports the spine can better address these needs.
