Overall, side sleepers up to 230 pounds rated the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss medium firm mattress highly, but some reported pressure buildup in their shoulders and hips. Heavier sleepers sink down a bit more deeply into the mattress, so they may find this firmness a bit lacking in terms of support.

Although some side sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds may find the firmer Botanical Bliss mattress comfortable, most liked the medium firm option better, as it relieved pressure in the hips and shoulders more effectively. Side sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds also tended to prefer the medium firm to the firm option. For heavier side sleepers, though, the firm option provides a better blend of cradling and support.

Back sleepers who weigh more than 130 pounds give the firmer option high ratings, noting that the extra firmness provided more support and they didn’t experience too much sinking. In fact, the 10- and 12-inch Botanical Bliss mattresses were most preferred by heavier individuals who sleep on their backs or stomachs, as the extra thickness provides plenty of support. Lighter back sleepers also give the firm option high marks, but they tend to prefer the medium firm option.
Stomach Sleepers
Like back sleepers, stomach sleepers who weigh more than 130 pounds preferred the firmer Botanical Bliss option for its strong degree of support. Heavier sleepers may be most comfortable on the thickest mattress option (the 12-inch version) as the extra padding eliminates some of the sinking that causes misalignment. Sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds again found the medium firm mattress more comfortable than the firm.

Latex mattresses offer significantly less body-conforming than memory foam, and the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is no different.
Sleepers don’t “sink down” into the mattress, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t offer adequate pressure relief. Overall, our testing found that the mattress offers fairly even support and cradling, regardless of body weight or sleep position.
The only exception was for side sleepers, in particular those who weighed less than 130 pounds, who had some pressure buildup on the hips and shoulders.
PlushBeds Botanical Bliss maintains good temperature neutrality, allowing sleepers to stay cool and comfortable all night.
The mattresses are constructed with naturally breathable latex to encourage airflow. The organic cotton cover and layer of organic wool also wick away moisture, helping maintain a cool, consistent temperature.
Latex mattresses like the Botanical Bliss typically sleep much cooler than foam models. This is because latex absorbs and traps less body heat. However, innersprings and hybrids typically provide the best temperature control.
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss provides significant edge support, especially compared to a memory foam mattress. Generally speaking, latex sinks less and provides better push-back compared to foam, so this mattress is no exception. That said, people who like to sleep near the edge of their bed may notice more compression than those who lie in the middle.

PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is a latex mattress, made from several layers of Dunlop latex. It’s topped with a 1-inch layer of organic wool, and wrapped in organic cotton. Available in three thicknesses (9 inches, 10 inches, and 12 inches), all of the mattresses start with a 3-inch support core of HD latex; the 12-inch thick mattress has two 3-inch layers in its support core. The core is topped with additional layers of Dunlop latex that vary by thickness and firmness for comfort.
Botanical Bliss mattresses are offered in medium firm or firm options. The firmness is determined by the type of latex used in the comfort layers. The medium option uses medium soft, medium, and medium firm latex layers, while the firm mattress uses medium, medium firm, and extra firm latex layers. These layers can easily be separated to customize your mattress to your preference. For example, if you have a medium firm mattress but want it to be slightly more firm, simply remove the cotton cover and switch the medium soft top layer of latex with the medium firm layer to create a firmer sleeping surface.
Regardless of the depth and firmness that you select, PlushBeds Botanical Bliss mattresses are all made with 100% organic materials and designed to be healthy. Sleep Trial
PlushBeds offers a 100-night sleep trial with a 30-night mandatory break-in period. If you return the mattress during the first 30 nights, you’ll incur a $99 deduction from the refund. As part of the return, you’ll be required to box up the mattress and make it available for curbside pickup.
During the first 100 nights, you can also request a free comfort adjustment, meaning PlushBeds sends a new comfort layer with a different firmness feel.
Warranty
PlushBeds offers a 25-year warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing. This warranty is prorated. During the first 10 years, the company will repair or replace any Botanical Bliss mattress with a covered defect. Owners pay for shipping and handling, and PlushBeds will cover all other costs related to repairs or replacements.
Beginning in the 11th year, owners must pay a percentage of the original price for any defective mattress that needs to be replaced. This percentage starts at 50% in the 11th year, and increases 3% for each year after that (53% in the 12th year, 56% in the 13th year, etc.)
