OVERVIEW
Allswell is a digital brand by Walmart. It produces affordably priced home goods, including towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, mattress toppers, and mattresses. The mattress line includes three models. The Allswell is the company’s flagship hybrid model, the Luxe is an upgraded hybrid model, and the Allswell Supreme is a premium hybrid model. Other reviews on this site will examine the Allswell Mattress and the Allswell Supreme Mattress, but this review will focus exclusively on the Luxe Hybrid Mattress.
The Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress uses a hybrid design that combines two layers of foam with a layer of pocketed coils. It comes in between the price-points of Allswell’s other two mattress models. At 12 inches thick, it also falls in the middle of the height range for Allswell’s mattresses.
We’ll cover the Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress’s construction, performance, pricing, and owner reviews. We’ll also summarize Allswell policies that may affect your purchasing experience. If you’re thinking about buying the Luxe Hybrid Mattress, keep reading to learn more.

Allswell Luxe Hybrid Video Review
Watch the video below to see how the Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress performed when put to the test in the Sleep Foundation Lab.
Mattress Performance
Motion Isolation
The Allswell Luxe Hybrid’s quilted top, memory foam comfort layer, and polyfoam transition layer limit motion transfer by absorbing vibrations when one partner moves. Sleepers who tend to wake up when their partner changes position may sleep better thanks to the Luxe Hybrid’s good motion isolation.
While the top layers of the mattress help absorb motion, the Luxe Hybrid’s bouncy coil core will still contribute to some motion transfer. Each spring is individually wrapped, reducing the impact of movements on the surface, but the bed’s overall bounce could lead to some vibrations. This degree of motion isolation is similar to most other hybrid models on the market.
Pressure Relief
The Luxe Hybrid offers moderate pressure relief, which is similar to many hybrid mattresses. Its medium firm feel does not allow sleepers to sink in as much as some models, but its memory foam comfort layer contours to the sleeper’s body enough to take some of the pressure off their hips and shoulders.
Sleepers who weigh more can sink in more deeply for greater pressure relief. Individuals who weigh over 230 pounds will likely experience very good pressure relief. Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds should also enjoy gentle cradling. People who weigh under 130 pounds are the most likely to notice some pressure buildup.
Temperature Control
Like many hybrid models, the Luxe Hybrid allows for significant airflow through the mattress for a cooler night’s sleep. This may make it a good option for people who tend to sleep hot.
The Luxe Hybrid’s quilted cover includes a cooling foam to help neutralize the temperature of the mattress surface. While some memory foam comfort layers trap heat, the Luxe Hybrid’s comfort layer is infused with copper to help pull heat away from the sleeper’s body. Air circulation through the coil system further dissipates heat.
Edge Support
Thanks to its reinforced perimeter, the Luxe Hybrid has a similarly sturdy edge to many competing hybrid models.
The Luxe Hybrid is reinforced around the outer edge of the coil core. Since the mattress has a medium firm feel, there is also minimal sinkage in the comfort and transition layers. This all combines to give the perimeter a sturdy feel. Sleepers are unlikely to experience enough compression to feel they might accidentally roll off the edge, so couples may be able to use more of the mattress surface.
The perimeter’s extra stability also makes it easier to sit on the edge of the mattress, which may be particularly beneficial for individuals with mobility issues that make it harder to get into or out of bed.
Ease of Movement
Ordinarily, memory foam can make a mattress surface more difficult to move on since it conforms to the sleeper’s body and tends to regain its shape slowly when pressure is removed.
The Luxe Hybrid’s 2-inch memory foam comfort layer contours without sinkage. Because of its medium firm feel, it is unlikely to give the “trapped in the bed” sensation often associated with memory foam. This should make it easier to move on than most hybrid mattresses with memory foam comfort layers.
Sleepers who frequently change positions during the night may appreciate the Luxe Hybrid’s ease of movement.
Sex
Hybrid models tend to balance contouring and bounce, both of which couples often enjoy for sex. The Luxe Hybrid offers a similar combination of these two factors compared to most other hybrid models.
The Luxe Hybrid’s memory foam comfort layer contours enough to provide some traction without allowing excessive sinkage that could restrict movement. Its coil layer adds to the mattress’s bounce and responsiveness. Since the edge of the mattress is supportive, couples should also be able to use the full surface of the mattress.
Off-Gassing
Like most mattresses, the Luxe Hybrid may emit off-gassing odors at first. New mattresses often retain some odors from the manufacturing process. Synthetic foams are particularly prone to this. When a mattress ships compressed, these smells can’t escape until the mattress is unpackaged.
Off-gassing odors are generally considered harmless, but some owners choose to air out their new mattress before bringing it into their bedroom. This can be done by leaving the mattress in a room with good air circulation until the smells dissipate, which can usually be expected to take between a few hours and a few days.
The Luxe Hybrid is breathable due to its coil system, so we expect it to air out relatively quickly and not retain significant lingering odors.

Side Sleepers:
The Allswell Luxe Hybrid’s 2-inch memory foam comfort layer has enough contouring to relieve some of the pressure that ordinarily would build up near a side sleeper’s shoulders and hips. However, its medium firm feel doesn’t let sleepers sink in very deeply, so side sleepers may still experience pressure points.
Side sleepers who weigh under 130 pounds won’t exert enough force on the mattress to sink in much, so the bulk of their weight is likely to rest on their hips and shoulders, contributing to uncomfortable pressure points. Those who weigh over 130 pounds should enjoy deeper cradling that redistributes their body weight more evenly. This can lead to more pressure relief and improved spinal alignment.
Back Sleepers: Back sleepers may benefit from the Allswell Luxe Hybrid’s medium firm feel. The quilted cover gives a touch of softness, while the memory foam comfort layer provides cradling without much sinkage. This combination of surface-level softness and even support may be particularly appropriate for back sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds.
The Luxe Hybrid also provides stable support for back sleepers who weigh over 230 pounds, although sleepers in this weight group may not experience as much support as lighter individuals. This could allow the hips too sink too deeply, resulting in spinal misalignment for some. Stomach Sleepers:
Like back sleepers, stomach sleepers usually prefer a relatively firm mattress that prevents their midsections from sinking in too deeply and putting a strain on their spines. The Luxe Hybrid’s medium firm feel and minimal sinkage is a good match for most stomach sleepers. Its quilted cover and memory foam comfort layer cushion the surface, while its transition layer and coil core give essential support.
Stomach sleepers who weigh over 230 pounds may find that the Luxe Hybrid lacks the level of support they need to prevent their midsections from sinking too deeply.
Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress Review Breakdown
The Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress rates at a 6 on the 10-point firmness scale, making it a medium firm model. Its 12-inch thickness can be considered high-profile, so it may need deep pocket sheets.
A cover quilted with SwirlFoam tops the mattress. This foam helps cool the surface while adding plushness. Next, a 2-inch layer of memory foam contours to the sleeper’s shape to relieve pressure. A copper infusion helps fight the heat retention associated with memory foam by wicking away heat.
The 1-inch polyfoam transition layer adds support while acting as a buffer between the softer comfort layer and the firmer core. A coil core gives the bed a springy feel, but each coil is individually pocketed to reduce motion transfer between springs. This layer also is reinforced around the perimeter for extra edge support.

This offer is good for one return per household per year. To be eligible for a return, the mattress must qualify for coverage under the warranty, which includes specific conditions. These conditions include that the mattress must still have the law tag attached, it must be free from physical damage, and it must not have been used with an electric blanket, heating pad, or improper foundation. Additional terms and conditions may also apply.
If the customer chooses to return their mattress, Allswell will arrange for a local partner to call to schedule a date to remove the discarded mattress.
Warranty
The Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress comes with a 10-year limited warranty that protects the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship, including indentations greater than 1.5 inches. The customer should retain their original invoice and may be asked to furnish photos of the issue.
The warranty does not cover the softening of the foam over time. Mattresses may be ineligible for coverage if the law tags were removed, if they were used without a proper foundation, if they were misused, if they sustained physical damage (cuts, burns, water damage, etc.), and if they were used with a heating pad or heated blanket.
If Allswell finds a qualifying defect, it will elect to either repair the mattress or issue a refund. The customer may be responsible for shipping costs associated with receiving a new or repaired mattress.
