Formerly known as Marpac, Yogasleep is a company with more than 55 years of experience in the sleep industry. Having started with a simple white noise machine, the company has expanded over the years and now offers a variety of sleep products, including mattresses, pillows, bed frames, and other sleep accessories.
The current mattress lineup includes two models: the Original Yogabed Mattress and the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress. We will be focusing on the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress.
The Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress is Yogasleep’s only hybrid mattress, constructed with layers of memory foam and polyfoam over a pocketed coil support core. The memory foam incorporates copper infusions designed to evenly distribute body heat, and the pocketed coils are engineered to promote airflow.
We’ll take an in-depth look at the construction, pricing, and performance ratings of the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress. We’ll also discuss Yogasleep’s warranty, sleep trial, and shipping policies, and provide recommendations for different sleep positions and body types.
Watch the video below to see how the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress performed when put to the test in the lab.

|Sleeper Type||Under 130 lbs||130-230 lbs||Above 230 lbs|
Side Sleepers: The Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress is ideal for side sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds.
Side sleepers typically prefer a medium to medium firm sleep surface that provides cushioning and support for the shoulders and hips. A close-conforming mattress can help relieve pressure points, and it can also encourage proper spinal alignment by allowing the body to settle into a neutral position.
Side sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds exert less pressure on the mattress, and some may find the Yogabed Cool Hybrid mattress too firm. By contrast, side sleepers over 230 pounds require a firmer surface, and may receive insufficient spinal support.
Back Sleepers: The Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress performs well for back sleepers who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds. Its medium firm feel provides the right amount of contouring and support for the average sleeper, without causing excessive sinking.
Back sleepers tend to prefer a mattress that is medium firm to firm. These sleepers put the most pressure on the lumbar area and need a mattress that can support the lower back.
Individuals who weigh less than 130 pounds may prefer a softer mattress that cushions the lumbar area. Those over 230 pounds may experience excessive sinking in the midsection, potentially causing misalignment in the spine. However, the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress tends to feel comfortable to most back sleepers.
Stomach Sleepers: With its medium firm feel, the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress is suitable for most stomach sleepers under 230 pounds.
Stomach sleepers put the most pressure on the abdomen and hips. If a mattress is too soft, the stomach and hips may sink, causing spinal misalignment and discomfort in the center of the body. For this reason, most stomach sleepers prefer a mattress that is firmer and more responsive.
Stomach sleepers who weigh more than 230 pounds may not receive enough support from the Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress.
The Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress has a 12-inch profile and contains four layers in total. In terms of firmness the mattress is rated as medium firm, or a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale. This is considered within the range that appeals to the vast majority of sleeper types.
The comfort system includes 2 inches of memory foam, a material that’s known for its ability to contour to the body and relieve pressure points. As memory foam can sometimes trap heat, Yogasleep has added copper infusions that are designed to pull body heat away from the surface of the bed. A second layer of polyfoam helps supply resilience to prevent sleepers from feeling stuck in the bed.
In the support core, 8 inches of pocketed coils rest on a thin polyfoam base. The coils form a deep cradle to promote healthy spinal alignment, and rows of stronger coils along each side of the bed help reinforce the edges. As pocketed coils respond individually to pressure, they tend to transfer less motion than interconnected innerspring coils.
The mattress has a zippered, machine-washable polyester cover. All the foams used in the mattress are CertiPUR-US certified. This means a third-party organization has verified the foams and confirmed that they do not contain harmful levels of chemicals.

High-quality hybrid mattresses typically range in price from about $1,000 to $3,000 for a queen size. The Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress is competitively priced, coming in at the lower end of this range. The mattress is sold exclusively online, which may contribute to its affordability.
Hybrid mattresses are generally more expensive than all-foam or innerspring mattresses, especially if they contain extra features. The Yogabed Cool Hybrid Mattress is competitively priced considering its proprietary foams and multiple comfort layers.
Yogasleep does not offer bundled options at checkout. However, the company sells a large collection of bed frames and bedding that customers may wish to purchase along with the mattress.

Yogasleep offers free ground shipping through FedEx within the contiguous U.S. There are additional shipping costs for orders to Alaska and Hawaii. Mattresses typically arrive within 5 to 14 business days after placing the order. Expedited shipping is available for an extra fee.
The mattress arrives shrink-wrapped and compressed via doorstep delivery. As the box can weigh between 57 and 123 pounds, it’s best to enlist the help of a second person. To set the mattress up, carry it to its intended room, place it on the foundation, and gently remove the wrapping. The mattress will expand immediately, but it may take a few days to regain its full size.
Yogasleep can provide a professional team to remove an old mattress and/or box spring for an additional cost. If you require assistance setting up a new mattress and/or box spring, Yogasleep offers a setup service as well for an additional fee. You may also bundle a setup and removal full service to receive a small discount on the optional add-on services.
Yogasleep offers free returns within the first 101 nights, but asks that customers try the mattress for at least 30 nights before initiating a return. Yogasleep will issue a full refund and will arrange to pick up the mattress at no charge.
The Yogabed Cool Hybrid mattress comes with a 15-year limited warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing and workmanship defects, excluding those that arise from normal wear and tear.
Yogasleep will repair or replace a mattress that qualifies under warranty, but the customer is responsible for any shipping costs involved in the return process after the sleep trial ends. If a mattress qualifies for replacement, the price is prorated based on the number of years since the original purchase.
