When they are fitted and used properly, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices can be very effective. As people who use CPAP will tell you, initially the mask can feel awkward and can take time to get used to. However, if a person commits to using the CPAP correctly and for the whole night, the benefit is often very clear. People feel more refreshed, alert, and energetic during the day.
