SweetNight is an online mattress company whose product line is centered on providing high-level comfort at an affordable price. Despite being the brand’s luxury model, the CoolNest Ultra remains budget-friendly. The CoolNest Ultra comes in 12-, 14-, and 16-inch options, each with a different firmness level.
All three models feature the same interior layering, which includes two layers of memory foam that cushion pressure points while limiting motion transfer.

How the SweetNight CoolNest Ultra Scored
Motion Isolation10.0/10
In our tests, the SweetNight CoolNest Ultra proved to have exceptional motion isolation. Its two memory foam layers absorbed nearly all vibration, so movement on the other side of the bed was virtually undetectable.
All three models had fantastic motion isolation, and the 16-inch model earned a rare perfect score in this category.
Motion isolation is important for many couples, especially if either bed partner is a light sleeper or moves a lot in bed.
Logan Foley, Executive Product Director: It’s hard to find a mattress that isolates motion better than the CoolNest Ultra. Whether it’s pets or people moving on the other side of the bed, you barely notice any vibrations at all.
Pressure Relief9.5/10
Our team gave the CoolNest Ultra near-perfect scores for pressure relief. In fact, the 16-inch model earned a perfect 10.
We found that the combination of foam layers excelled at distributing weight evenly, keeping pressure from building up around areas like the lower back, hips, and shoulders.
Side sleepers found this level of cradling and pressure relief to be most supportive, and the mattress also earned solid ratings from some of our testers with arthritis and joint pain.

Temperature Control7.5/10
Objective data from our temperature sensors and subjective feedback from sleepers both showed that the CoolNest Ultra sleeps cooler than the average foam mattress. That said, some heat retention may still occur.
SweetNight incorporates features like aerated foam and gel-infused foam into the CoolNest Ultra to try to limit heat buildup. The mattress still absorbs some heat as the foams mold to your body, but the added airflow should minimize this issue,
Heat retention was most significant on the taller models of the CoolNest Ultra. While the warmth won’t bother every sleeper, it may be a concern for people who tend to sleep hot.
Brad Nehring, Product Testing Manager: The CoolNest Ultra is designed with components meant to promote cooling and reduce heat retention. Some sleepers may feel too warm, but this mattress regulates temperature better than most all-foam models we’ve tested.
Edge Support6.0/10
During our testing, there was considerable sinkage around the perimeter of the CoolNest Ultra. This is common with memory foam mattresses, especially those that have a softer firmness level.
While edge support on the 12-inch model was adequate, it was lacking on the 14-inch and 16-inch models. Many sleepers are willing to trade edge support for deeper conforming and pressure relief, but a weaker perimeter can be a problem for people who frequently sit or sleep near the edge of their bed.
Mary Fenton, Head of Product Content: A downside of the conforming foams is that there’s a lot of sink around the edge. I don’t think I was at risk of falling out of bed, but the perimeter felt pretty unsteady on the 16-inch model.
Ease of Movement6.5/10
Our testers found that the CoolNest Ultra ranged from about average for ease of movement to clearly below average based on the model.
Softer memory foam conforms closely to the body, but it lacks responsiveness and bounce. That can make it harder to move on the mattress surface. Not surprisingly, we found that moving around was most difficult on the 16-inch model, which is medium soft (4), and it was also a challenge on the 14-inch model.
Lower-scoring performance in this category is most likely to bother people who regularly change their sleeping position during the night.
Brad Nehring, Product Testing Manager: I thought moving around on the 12-inch version of the CoolNest Ultra was pretty standard, but it was trickier on the 14- and 16-inch models. The memory foam hugs your body in a way that can make it harder to turn over or adjust your position.
Durability6.5/10
Although we don’t have long-term data about the durability of the CoolNest Ultra, our analysis suggests it should have a roughly average lifespan. For a foam mattress like this, that usually means around 5 years of nightly use.
The softer models can have a slightly shorter lifespan because their foams may be prone to sagging and surface indentations that affect the overall lifespan.

Side Sleepers
Most side sleepers on our testing team were fans of the CoolNest Ultra. The mattress was especially popular among side sleepers under 230 pounds.
We found that the foam layers cradled the hips and shoulders, distributing weight evenly and minimizing pressure around these joints. That helped many side sleepers achieve and maintain healthy spinal alignment on the CoolNest Ultra.
Side sleepers under 130 pounds gave the highest ratings to the 16-inch model and also loved the 14-inch version. Those between 130 and 230 pounds received the most support from the 14-inch model. Side sleepers over 230 pounds found all the models to be on the soft side but got adequate support from the 12-inch option.
Back Sleepers
Our testing found that the CoolNest Ultra offers comfort and support for only some back sleepers.
Back sleepers under 130 pounds praised the 12-inch and 14-inch models, which kept their spine in a neutral plane while lightly cushioning the lumbar region. Testers who weighed between 130 and 230 pounds slept best on the 12-inch model since its medium firm (6) feel kept them from sinking too deeply into the mattress.
Back sleepers over 230 pounds felt that all of the models were softer than what they prefer, but they at least got sufficient support from the 12-inch model. The taller models were too plush for almost all of our back sleepers weighing 130 pounds or more.
Stomach Sleepers
During our tests, most stomach sleepers said that the CoolNest Ultra felt too soft, allowing their midsection to sink too far into the mattress and out of line with the rest of the body.
Stomach sleepers under 130 pounds were notable exceptions. Because they don’t push as deeply into the foam layers, these sleepers received adequate support from the 12-inch and 14-inch models. Some stomach sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds also liked the 12-inch version of the CoolNest Ultra. However, most stomach sleepers found that this mattress struggled to provide optimal support.

Availability
The SweetNight CoolNest Ultra is available to customers in the contiguous United States. It can be purchased directly from the SweetNight website and is also available on Amazon. However, shipping and return policies may be different when purchasing from Amazon.
Shipping
The CoolNest Ultra comes with free ground shipping to the contiguous U.S. Delivery is not available to Alaska, Hawaii, or international locations.
The mattress normally ships within two business days and is delivered a few business days after that. It is compressed, sealed in plastic, and shipped in a box that is delivered to your door.
Once the mattress is removed from the packaging, it will decompress and can be used within a few hours. It may take up to 72 hours to reach its full size.

SweetNight does not offer White Glove delivery, mattress removal, or any other additional services.
Sleep Trial
After the CoolNest Ultra is delivered, you have 100 nights to try it out. SweetNight requests that you try the mattress for 30 nights before asking for a return. If you decide not to keep the mattress, the company will pick it up and provide either a full or partial refund.
Warranty
The CoolNest Ultra is backed by a 10-year warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing, such as sagging of more than 1.5 inches. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage from accidents or negligence.
