For this reason, the Four Seasons was one of the first hotel brands to partner with a manufacturer and create custom mattresses for their rooms.
In 1985, Four Seasons began using custom mattresses in their suites to provide an elevated sleep experience for visitors. The mattress — known as the Signature Bed — is a hybrid model manufactured in partnership with Simmons Bedding Company. A base of pocketed coils provides bounce, isolates motion, and allows for cooling airflow, while multiple polyfoam and memory foam layers cushion the body.
In addition to the standard medium-firm Signature Bed, the mattress is also available in soft and firm designs. Guests who want to bring their Four Seasons sleep experience home with them can purchase all three Signature Bed mattresses online.
The Ritz-Carlton Mattress
The famous Ritz-Carlton lemon pound cake from the 1920s has trended on social media in recent years, and some guests have found Ritz-Carlton mattresses equally appealing. Visitors praise the beds for being comfortable and staying cool throughout the night.

The Marriott Mattress
Like many hotels on this list, Marriott earns praise for providing cozy, high-end mattresses for travelers to rest on during their stay. These beds are custom-made specifically for the hotel company by manufacturers like Simmons and Jamison Bedding, and guests can also purchase Marriott mattresses online.
Unlike many other hotel brands, Marriott doesn’t use the exact same mattress type in each of its hotels. Guests traveling in the U.S. may encounter an all-foam mattress or a high-profile innerspring bed. In contrast, people traveling in the U.K. are likely to find a lower profile model filled with pocketed coils and polyester, while Marriott guests traveling in other parts of Europe are more likely to encounter thicker, softer beds containing springs and polyfoam.

The Westin Mattress

The newly updated Sofitel hybrid mattress boasts superior edge support, allowing sleepers to spread out and make use of the entire bed’s surface. The Novotel Mattress
Novotel is a French hotel chain owned by Accor, the same company that owns Sofitel. While Novotel doesn’t use the same mattresses found in Sofitel suites, they have their own custom-made bed that many guests enjoy.
Novotel’s custom mattress is a low-profile model featuring polyfoam and memory foam comfort layers over pocketed microcoils. The mattress is designed to relieve pressure points and support the spine, so sleepers can drift off with their muscles relaxed.
Novotel guests who want the mattress in their own home can order one online through the Novotel Store. However, U.S. customers should be aware that the bed may take several weeks to arrive.
The Soho House Mattress
Soho House has fewer locations than some hotel brands on our list — just over 40 worldwide — but the chain’s offbeat amenities have caught the attention of many travelers. In addition to freshly baked cookies for every guest, a vintage record player and records in most rooms, and complimentary high-quality skincare products, the mattresses are intended to impress.
Soho House mattresses are exclusive to the hotel and the result of a collaboration with mattress brand Hypnos, named for the Greek god of sleep. Hypnos has been making high-end mattresses in England for 120 years. Their Soho House bed contains a foam support core and luxurious comfort layers made from wool, cashmere, rayon, and cotton.

The W Hotels Mattress
After getting their start in New York City, W Hotels has expanded to more than 30 countries around the world.
At all W Hotels locations, guests enjoy one of two custom mattresses made by Simmons exclusively for the chain. The W Hotels Pillow Top Mattress is ideal for sleepers who want softness and cushioning from their bed. The other W Hotels mattress — known as the “Plush Top” — adds some softness, but this is actually the firmer of the two models and better suited to sleepers who need more support.

The Fairmont Mattress
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts is owned by the French hotel company Accor, but they are primarily known for their properties in Canada. Fairmont mattresses have received a fair amount of buzz online thanks to the comfort they provide.
In most rooms, Fairmont uses a custom mattress known as the Fairmont Bed, which was created by Sealy.
