Launched in 2014 after a successful Kickstarter campaign, Brooklinen is a U.S.-based company that offers bedding, loungewear, and other sleep accessories. We will focus on Brooklinen’s four sheet sets.
Brooklinen’s bedding products are available in four different styles. Items in the Classic Percale collection are composed of long staple cotton with a crisp hand feel. Luxe Sateen components are also made from long staple cotton, but this material has a very smooth and silky-soft finish. The Linen collection – produced from premium Belgian and French flax – offers exceptional durability and cooling. Lastly, Heathered Cashmere products combine luxury cotton and Himalayan cashmere to deliver a sumptuously soft and insulating feel.
Brooklinen offers three bundling options, each with a different assortment of items. These range from starter sets to seven-piece collections. You can also buy items individually, but you’ll save up to 25 percent by bundling instead.
We’ll discuss each sheet set collection in terms of material composition, weave, and pricing. You’ll also find a comprehensive sizing guide and an overview of Brooklinen’s shipping, return, and warranty policies.
Product | Material | Weave | Price |

Each Brooklinen sheet set offers a distinct look and texture, so you should research these products – and test them out, if possible – to determine which material is best for you. Other differences to consider include price, size availability, color/pattern, and ease of care and cleaning.
The feel and performance of sheets and pillowcases depends on several factors, including the materials used, the weave technique, and (if applicable) the thread count.
Classic Percale
The Classic Percale set features sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers made from long staple cotton in a percale weave. This material has a crisp feel that at first may remind you of a freshly ironed dress shirt, but it should soften with subsequent wash cycles. Each component has a mid-level thread count of 270, ensuring both decent durability and breathable construction that won’t retain too much heat. That said, these items tend to pill after repeated washes. You can choose from 14 colors and patterns, including a few limited edition designs. The Classic Percale items come in three-, four-, and seven-piece sets.
Luxe Sateen
Like Classic Percale items, the Luxe Sateen sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers are produced from long staple cotton. However, these pieces feature a smooth sateen weave that makes the material look shiny and feel exceptionally soft. The items also sleep very cool thanks to their lightweight composition. Durability may be an issue, though. The sateen has a 480 thread count, but this material is more susceptible to rips and tears and may lose some softness after repeated washes. According to Brooklinen, Luxe Sateen components are the company’s best-selling products. Luxe Sateen sets are also available in 14 colors and designs, and come in three-, four- and seven-piece sets.
Linen
The Linen sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers are made in Portugal from a blend of Belgian and French flax. Linen has a very distinct texture that many find crisp, waxy, and even a bit stiff. Like sateen, linen often becomes softer with age. The fabric is also renowned for consistent breathability and temperature regulation, making it well-suited for warm and cool settings. However, linen can rip rather easily and develop holes in the wash. Constant wrinkling is another issue for some owners. These sets are available in 11 different colors and patterns. You won’t be able to purchase a three-piece Brooklinen set, bit four- and seven-piece collections are available.
Heathered Cashmere
These sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers are derived from a twill blend of 95% cotton and 5% cashmere. Cashmere is an incredibly soft material derived from the wool of certain goat breeds. It retains the insulating and moisture-wicking properties of other wools, but also feels very light and silky. These items are available in four faint, neutral colors that accentuate the diagonal heathered weave and complement most bedroom decors. Like the Linen sets, Heathered Cashmere items are available in four- and seven-piece bundles only. These are Brooklinen’s most expensive sets.
Brooklinen bedding sets cover a wide range of price-points. The Classic Percale and Luxe Sateen items have mid-level prices, whereas the Linen and Heathered Cashmere sets can cost up to $500 or more. That said, all Brooklinen items are competitively priced and none of the collections are outrageously expensive given the premium materials.
How much you spend on Brooklinen bedding products depends on the bundle you select, or if you buy items individually. The company currently offers the following three bundle options:
Regular, non-discounted prices for each Brooklinen Starter, Core, and Hardcore set are as follows. For the customizable Hardcore set, prices listed reflect sets in which all items are the same size; adding smaller or larger sizes will change the price of these sets.

Cleaning your sheets on a regular basis ensures proper health and hygiene for both you and your bed. Although Brooklinen bedding items have different material compositions, the company recommends the following guidelines for laundering and refreshing your sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers.
For Classic Percale, Luxe Sateen, and Linen sets, Brooklinen recommends washing and changing out these items about once per week. The sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers should be washed on a cool or warm cycle, then line-dried to preserve the fabric and prevent excessive wrinkling. The Classic Percale items will become softer with each wash, whereas the Luxe Sateen and Linen items may become less soft over time.
The Heathered Cashmere sets should be washed separately on a cold cycle without bleach, then dried on a low tumble setting. You should remove these items from the dryer as soon as the cycle is complete to prevent pilling. Brooklinen offers The Laundress Signature Detergent.
When not in use, these bedding products should be stored in a cool, dry location where the items won’t be exposed to extreme heat or humidity. Brooklinen does not recommend storing sheets, pillowcases, or duvet covers in boxes, as this can cause yellowing. The company offers the Laundress Fabric Fresh Spray, which is useful if the items have been in storage for a while and need a quick spritz before they are used again. Sheets and duvet covers should be replaced every two years, while the pillows may need to be replaced after one year of continual use.
For added treatments, Brooklinen also sells the Laundress Fabric Conditioner and Laundress All-Purpose Bleach Alternative.
Brooklinen ships sheet sets anywhere in the U.S., as well as select international destinations. Delivery is also available to army and fleet post offices (AFOs/FPOs) and P.O. boxes.
You can purchase any Brooklinen sheet set online directly through the company. Amazon.com offers Luxe sets, as well. Brooklinen operates one brick-and-mortar store in Brooklyn, NY.
Free ground shipping is available to all customers in the U.S., including those in Puerto Rico, Guam, and other U.S. territories. Most customers receive their items within 10 to 14 business days of placing their order. Deliveries are coordinated through either the UPS or USPS. All customers receive a tracking number as soon as their order ships.
Brooklinen accepts returns on all items within 365 days of the original purchase, even if you’ve laundered them more than once. Comparatively, many competing brands do not allow returns for washed or used bedding products. All returned Brooklinen products are donated to charitable organizations. You can initiate a return online or drop your item(s) off at the New York store if you live in that area.
If you purchase a Hardcore set, Brooklinen will allow returns of individual items for a partial refund. Exchanges are not available for any items.
All Brooklinen sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, and other textile products are backed by a lifetime warranty. If you encounter any defects or wear and tear issues, contact the company via email to initiate a warranty claim.
