Bedsure PureWoven Organic Cotton Sheet Set Review Breakdown

The Organic Cotton Sheet Set is one of Bedsure’s higher-end options, although it’s still reasonably priced compared to the competition. In addition to the sheet set, Bedsure also sells duvet covers, blankets, and pillowcases if you’re looking to complete your bedroom.

Organic cotton is a good choice for people who sleep hot, as the fibers naturally allow space for air to circulate. It’s also a favorite with people who prioritize sustainability and want to keep chemicals out of their bedroom. Organic cotton offers a middle ground between soft and crisp.

This sheet set is part of the PureWoven collection, which showcases natural fabrics including Egyptian cotton, washed cotton, organic cotton, cotton-linen blends, and bamboo-derived viscose. If you have very sensitive skin, you might prefer the slinky texture of the Viscose derived from Bamboo Collection, whereas you might consider the Washed Cotton or Classic Collections if you want a more relaxed feel.

Materials and Construction

The Bedsure Organic Cotton Sheets are constructed with a sateen weave and a 300 thread count.

Thread count is a fabric density measurement that refers to the number of lengthwise and widthwise threads in a square inch. Single-ply thread count typically runs from 100 to 400. Thread counts of 800 or more generally represent a double-ply fabric. This means two threads have been twisted around each other, or “doubled,” so they can be counted twice — an indicator of questionable quality.

The higher the true thread count, the denser and more durable the fabric. Fabrics with lower thread counts are light and breathable, but more likely to tear and pill. A 300 thread count strikes a nice mid-range balance, and is typical for good-quality sateen sheets.

Sateen refers to a weave method, with three or four lengthwise threads per widthwise thread. This weave gives the fabric a silky-smooth feel. The sheets are breathable but cozy, with a slight sheen and a buttery texture designed to get softer over time.

Bedsure uses Turkish cotton that’s certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) label, which indicates it meets strict standards regarding toxic chemicals and worker rights. The sheets also hold quality certification from OEKO-TEX and AATCC Lab.

The outside seams are carefully double-stitched for better durability and a crisp fit. The fitted sheet has a 17-inch pocket (16 inches on the full size sheets) and is ideally designed to fit mattresses up to 14 inches thick, though it can also stretch up to 17 inches. Bedsure has included a full elastic band and reinforced elastic straps on the corners of the fitted sheet to prevent it from slipping off the mattress.

Other thoughtful details include an envelope closure in the pillowcase that keeps the pillow snugly inside, and tags that indicate the top and bottom of the flat sheet.

Prices and Sizing

Each sheet set includes two pillowcases, one fitted sheet, and one flat sheet. The sheet sets are sold in a reusable tote bag. Bedsure offers options to bundle sheets with other items in the PureWoven Organic Cotton Collection.

Bedsure Organic Cotton sheets are priced fairly given the quality. Although they represent an investment compared with the most basic models, they can be expected to last longer thanks to their high-quality materials. The relatively high thread count helps reduce pilling over time, and customers say the sheets don’t shrink noticeably if they’re washed and dried in low temperatures.

Care and Cleaning

If properly cared for, the sheets are resistant to wear-and-tear and designed to soften up after they are washed for the first time. However, it’s important to carefully follow the care instructions, as cotton can shrink if washed in very hot water.

The manufacturer recommends machine-washing the sheets in cool or warm water with regular detergent, then tumble-drying on low to medium heat. We recommend avoiding bleach, as this can ruin the color.

Reviewers note that although these sheets aren’t fully wrinkle-resistant, they tend to wrinkle less than cotton sheets from other brands.
