With the motto, “Get cozy,” Bedsure aims to improve rest and relaxation with a wide range of comfortable sleep products, including mattress toppers, mattress pads, and bedding.

The company offers several mattress toppers with varying features, such as zoning, extra padding, and waterproofing. In this review, we focus on the Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper, a pillow-top memory foam model that can be flipped to offer softer or firmer cushioning.

Our team put the Bedsure 2-in-1 through our rigorous mattress topper testing process to assess its performance across a variety of categories and see how it stacks up against other toppers. We’ll cover the results of these tests, along with details about how the topper is constructed, who it works best for, and Bedsure’s pricing and customer policies — all to help you determine if it might be the right mattress topper for your needs.

Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper Performance Ratings

The Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper received positive ratings from our testing team members across different body type and sleep position categories. The topper offers two firmness levels, depending on which side is facing up. The softer side is medium, or 5 out of 10 on our firmness scale, while the more supportive side is medium firm (6).

For most sleepers, the topper improved comfort with extra cushioning and the “hugging” sensation characteristic of dense memory foam. That said, certain sleeper types enjoyed the topper more than others. Side sleepers universally enjoyed it, along with lighter back and stomach sleepers, but back and stomach sleepers of at least 130 pounds generally felt it was too soft. Some of our testers also noticed heat retention.

The topper excels at relieving pressure and isolating motion, qualities that should appeal to people with chronic pain and those who share their bed with a partner and/or pets. Whether this topper is for you depends on your body weight, sleep position preference, and the features that matter most to you.

Durability

3.5 / 5

Memory foam toppers have an average lifespan of around three years before they begin deteriorating. Sagging and surface indentations are two common signs of wear and tear. The Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper should last close to three years. However, the topper does not come with a warranty.

Conforming

4 / 5

Thanks to its gel memory foam layer, the Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper conforms closely to the body. As a result, the topper relieves pressure well, especially for side sleepers across all weight groups and back and stomach sleepers under 130 pounds. This adaptive quality gives sleepers the sensation of sleeping “in” the topper, rather than “on” it.

Temperature Control

3 / 5

Memory foam is more likely than other materials to absorb body heat, but Bedsure has included elements in the 2-in-1 Mattress Topper to help offset this tendency. The polyester fill pillow-top is breathable, a gel infusion minimizes heat absorption in the foam, and steady airflow through the convoluted foam allows for plenty of internal circulation. However, sleepers who sleep very hot or specifically want a cooling topper may still find the 2-in-1 too warm.

Motion Isolation

4 / 5

The Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper’s memory foam layer absorbs motion well. This characteristic is particularly helpful for couples who share a bed or people who sleep with pets. As the foam absorbs movement in one area of the mattress, it prevents motion from transferring across the surface and disrupting sleep for anyone lying on the other side of the bed.

Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

In our testing, side sleepers across the board enjoyed the Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper. For this group, the topper allowed the heavier hips and shoulders to sink into the bed’s surface in a way that relieved pressure, but not so deeply as to interfere with spinal alignment. Side sleepers over 230 pounds weren’t quite as enthusiastic about this topper compared to their lighter counterparts, but they still found it reasonably comfortable.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers weighing up to 230 pounds should get the support they need from the 2-in-1 Topper. This group reported that the topper provided ample cushioning without compromising support for the lower back. Heavier back sleepers were less impressed. While the topper didn’t worsen their sleep, they didn’t feel much of an improvement in comfort due to how deeply they sunk in.

Stomach Sleepers

Stomach sleepers under 130 pounds liked the Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper, noting that they enjoyed the extra cushioning. Heavier stomach sleepers, however, found that their abdomens sunk into the topper too deeply. While it didn’t ruin their sleep, they were concerned the ample softness could result in lower back strain over time.

Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper Review Breakdown

The Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper functions best as a means to upgrade beds that either feel too firm or lack the conforming feel of memory foam. This topper measures about 5 inches thick and comes in standard mattress sizes. It’s sold at a very affordable price point, making it accessible to most shoppers.

Overall, side sleepers, lower-weight back and stomach sleepers, couples who share a bed, shoppers seeking a budget-friendly topper, and people who like the feel of memory foam are all solid candidates for this mattress topper.

Materials and Construction

The Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper consists of two distinct parts, and the way one layer is placed affects how soft or firm the topper feels.

The uppermost layer of the 2-in-1 Mattress Topper is a plush pillow top made with 100% down alternative fill. A poly-rayon cover encases the pillow-top and extends down the side with elasticated pockets, tucking over the corners of your mattress like a fitted sheet. The fabric is quilted and styled with a signature logo-leaf design. White and black colors are available.

The pillow-top layer provides luxurious softness to cushion the body, and will make most mattresses feel noticeably softer. The down alternative fibers also allow for airflow to circulate and help prevent heat retention. Polyester fill is hypoallergenic, as well.

Beneath the pillow-top sits a gel memory foam layer. This layer is convoluted, which means one side has waves and spikes in a shape that’s similar to egg crate foam. Convoluted construction allows for airflow and, along with a gel infusion, helps counteract the memory foam’s tendency to absorb and trap body heat.

The memory foam layer allows sleepers to sink in deeply and provides “hug,” making this side of the topper noticeably softer than the pillow-top side — though both are fairly plush.

Pricing Information

On average, a queen size mattress topper runs between $150 and $450, putting the 2-in-1 at the low end of the price spectrum. Among Bedsure’s current lineup, however, the 2-in-1 Mattress Topper is one of the most expensive topper options.

The price of a mattress topper closely relates to its materials and construction. Toppers made with polyester and synthetic foams like this one often cost less than those featuring more expensive materials like natural down, latex, or organic wool. Models that incorporate advanced cooling features or high-tech elements may also command much higher prices.

Something to consider when purchasing a mattress topper is that it will expand the profile of your mattress. This is especially true of the 2-in1 Mattress Topper which measures 5 inches thick and is considerably taller than the average topper. If your mattress is currently compatible with a standard fitted sheet, we suggest re-measuring the total height with the topper in place — the higher profile may require a fitted sheet with deep pockets.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning your mattress topper on a regular basis is a must because the materials can absorb sweat, body oil, dirt, and odors over time. Before beginning to clean your mattress topper, check the instruction manual included with your purchase or care tag attached to the topper.

The Bedsure 2-in-1 Mattress Topper consists of a polyester-blend cover, polyester down alternative fill, and convoluted gel memory foam. Due to its construction, the topper should never be machine-washed. Hand washing in warm water with regular detergent and tumble-drying on low heat are recommended for the cover and pillow-top layer. Alternatively, you may hand wash and air dry these components if you prefer.

The gel memory foam layer must be cared for differently. For this layer, you may spot clean using a small amount of mild detergent and water if there are visible stains. Do not submerge the gel memory foam layer in water, even to hand wash, or put it in your dryer. After spot cleaning, allow the foam to air dry before reassembling the topper.
