Rachel’s Expert Sleep Tips
What’s your biggest sleep pain point?
I have two school-age children, so for the past 10 years, I’ve been woken up at least a couple times a night. I can usually fall back asleep pretty quickly, but the fragmented sleep often leaves me wishing for 30 more minutes of sleep in the morning.
What’s your favorite sleep product right now?
I recently invested in Soundcore Sleep A30 noise-cancelling earbuds. My partner snores, so they help block out sound to help me fall asleep, but they also have a variety of sleep sounds and white noise. There’s also the option to use them as Bluetooth earbuds to listen to audio from your phone.
What is your nightly sleep regimen?
I usually read until I feel sleepy. Some nights, though, I listen to ASMR on my sleep ear buds.
What’s your top sleep tip?
If you’re not sleeping well, treat your sleep like a science experiment. It may take some trial and error to find the perfect mattress, bedding, sleep temperature, blackout curtains, sleep sound, and/or earbuds, but it’s worth it. And if nothing is working, call in the expert (AKA, your doctor).
