Biography

Lauren Gravitz is an award-winning science and health journalist with more than 20 years of experience reporting on medicine, biology, neuroscience, and other areas of scientific research. She holds a B.A. in Biology from Barnard College at Columbia University and an M.S. in Science Journalism from Boston University.

Lauren has written and edited for publications including Nature, Scientific American, The Washington Post, NPR, The Economist, Medscape, and Discover. Before becoming a journalist, she worked in scientific research, including marine ecotoxicology and animal cognition. She was also a Knight Science Journalism Project Fellow at MIT.
