Biography

Jennifer Welsh is a science writer and editor with more than a decade of experience communicating complex scientific and medical research to general audiences. She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame and completed the Science Communication graduate program at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Before becoming a science journalist, Jennifer worked in academic cancer research labs and at a biotechnology startup, where she conducted cell culture and antiviral drug research. Her writing and editing career has included work for LiveScience, Business Insider, Stanford Medicine, UCSF Health, and Mass General Brigham.
