A Word From Mark

What’s your biggest sleeping pain point?

I often find it difficult to avoid scrolling on my phone/tablet right before I go to sleep. I just deleted Twitter off my phone, though, so fingers crossed.

What’s your favorite sleep product right now?

Any amount of noise is too much for me when I’m trying to fall asleep, so I recently got a pair of reusable earplugs off of Amazon and they’re great. Plus, it cuts down on the waste that using disposable earbuds would create

Also, as someone with sleep apnea, my ResMed AirSense 11 is vital to my sleep and overall health.

What is your nightly sleep regimen?

I try to keep it simple. About an hour before my bedtime, I try to stop using any of my devices (phone, computer, etc.). Then, I take some melatonin and read a boring (this is key) book. Finally, right before my bedtime, I put on my sleep mask, earplugs, and start up my CPAP. I tend to drift off in ten minutes or so.

What’s your top sleep tip?

If you’re struggling with falling asleep, it’s worth it to give melatonin a shot – though start with a low dose. It really works, plus your dreams might become very wacky.
