Hot sleepers often prefer the crisp feel of the percale weave, which uses a one-over-one-under pattern. Sateen sheets use a one yarn under, three or four yarns over pattern that typically produces a wrinkle-resistant finish, lustrous sheen, and a soft feel. Like percale, poplin uses a plain weave that forms a criss-cross pattern. However, its performance tends to balance the crispness of percale and smoothness of sateen.

Doppio Ajour: The Doppio Ajour Sheet Set is constructed of smooth cotton sateen with a double open hemstitch and lustrous finish.

Hotel Classic: Made of cotton in a percale weave, the Frette Hotel Classic Sheet has a crisp and cool feel. These airy, breathable sheets are a good choice for warmer climates. While percale may feel a bit stiff at first, it softens after repeated washings.

Single Ajour: The Frette Single Ajour Sheet Set is made of cotton sateen for a smooth texture with a lustrous finish. An open hemstitch embellishes the set.

Triplo Bourdon: The Frette Triplo Bourdon Sheets are constructed of cotton poplin, an all-season fabric that is crisp like percale and smooth like sateen. These high-shine sheets are embellished with a three-line embroidery.

Ultimate: Constructed of high-grade Egyptian cotton Giza 45, the Frette Ultimate Sheet Set is the most expensive sheet option by the brand. Giza 45 boasts extremely long staples, providing a smooth feel and above-average durability.

Prices and Sizing

The Doppio Ajour, Hotel Classic, Single Ajour, Triplo Bourdon, and Ultimate Sheets can be machine washed in cold water with mild, biodegradable liquid detergent without added bleach or whiteners. The sheets should be washed with like colors and fabrics. Sheets with embroidery or lace should be enclosed in a thin mesh bag, and pillowcases and duvet covers should be turned inside out. Tumble dry the sheets with low heat, and remove before completely dry.
