Nighslee specializes in bed and bath products including blankets, pillows, and other accessories. The company has just one mattress, the flagship Nighslee mattress.
The Nighslee 10-inch memory foam mattress offers plush, conforming comfort at a very attractive price-point. It incorporates various cooling techniques, including gel infusions and ventilation, to help beat the heat retention that can occur with all-foam mattresses.
The Nighslee has a medium feel that is rated as a 5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. This falls within the universal comfort range that generally appeals to the vast majority of sleepers.
To help you decide whether this mattress is right for you, we’ll dive into detail about how the Nighslee is made, and how this affects the sleeping experience for different types of sleepers. We’ll end with practical information regarding shipping, warranty, and sleep trial policies.
The Nighslee mattress is an all-foam model that stands at 10 inches tall, which is an average height for an all-foam mattress. It has a fairly standard composition consisting of a memory foam comfort layer over several layers of firmer polyfoam. A bamboo-rayon cover provides a breathable surface that helps reduce heat retention around the sleeper.
The top layer is constructed with 3 inches of open-cell memory foam. This is infused with gel designed to prevent the surface of the mattress from becoming uncomfortably warm. It also features ventilating holes to increase airflow.
Beneath this is a 2-inch layer of transitional polyfoam infused with bamboo. This transitional layer eases the sleeper onto the firmer support core and helps reduce motion transfer.
The comfort layers rest on top of a 5-inch layer of high-density polyfoam. Comparable all-foam mattresses usually have at least 6 or 7 inches of high-density polyfoam in the support core, and this thinner support core means that the mattress may not be able to offer full spinal support for heavier sleepers.
According to our testing, the Nighslee mattress has a medium firmness level that is equivalent to a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest. Most people describe the sensation as sleeping “in” and not “on” the mattress. The memory foam offers relatively close conforming and pressure relief, and is ideal for side and back sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds.
The all-foam Nighslee mattress has a bamboo-rayon cover and 3 layers in total, including gel-infused memory foam, bamboo-infused polyfoam, and a polyfoam base.

Nighslee is one of the more affordable memory foam models available online. The mattress offers a comparable feel to its more expensive competitors, making it a good choice for price-conscious shoppers. On top of this, Nighslee regularly offers considerable discounts and bundles.
The mattress lineup undergoes changes as Nighslee sells out of certain models and discontinues other ones. Twin XL, California king, and split-king models may only occasionally be available.

The Nighslee mattress is designed with thick comfort and transitional layers that eliminate a great deal of motion transfer.
Memory foam conforms locally in response to heat and pressure, which means it’s able to shape itself around the body without affecting other areas of the mattress. The memory foam used in the Nighslee has quite a slow response to pressure that further absorbs motion.
In the support core, the polyfoam transitional layer and high-density polyfoam support core work together to prevent any remaining motion from transferring across the mattress.
If you tend to wake up every time your sleeping partner shifts positions or gets in and out of bed, you’ll be happy to hear that the Nighslee reduces nighttime disruptions to a significant extent.
Pressure relief is one of the strong points of the Nighslee mattress. Thick layers of memory foam swathe the sleeper, cradling points like the hips and shoulders that often become sore from prolonged contact with the mattress. This close conforming also encourages proper spinal alignment in side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 pounds, helping distribute body weight and prevent back pain.
The exception is stomach sleepers and those who weigh more than 230 pounds. Due to its relatively plush feel, the Nighslee mattress may allow too much sink in heavier body areas. Over time, this can throw off spinal alignment and lead to pressure build-up in the back and neck.
Multiple cooling features in the Nighslee mattress help to minimize the heat retention that can sometimes happen with memory foam mattresses.
To begin with, the mattress has a breathable cover that allows body heat to pass through instead of building up around the sleeper’s body. Nighslee also uses open-cell memory foam in the comfort layer, which stores less heat than closed-cell foam. Gel infusions in the memory foam further delay heat retention, and the ventilating air channels allow some heat to escape.
Due to its solid all-foam construction and close conforming, the Nighslee can’t be expected to achieve the same level of temperature neutrality as a latex or a hybrid mattress. However, it’s an attractive option for hot sleepers who prefer the feel of memory foam.
The Nighslee mattress offers limited edge support due to a lack of reinforcement around its perimeter.
Foam mattresses generally aren’t known for their outstanding edge support, but usually the high-density polyfoam support core lends some sturdiness around the edges. By contrast, the Nighslee mattress has 5 inches of lower-density memory foam and polyfoam in the comfort layers, and only 5 inches of high-density polyfoam in the base. This means the perimeter compresses significantly before sleepers hit the firmer base.
Those who weigh less than 130 pounds may be able to sleep near the edge of the bed, but this may cause feelings of roll-off in heavier individuals. Likewise, sitting on the edge of the bed may be difficult for some people.
The Nighslee mattress has a plush surface and a slow response to pressure that somewhat restrict movement. Combination sleepers may find it difficult to switch positions in this bed.
This mattress hugs the sleeper’s body quite closely, and the foam forms impressions that take a few seconds to regain their original shape when the sleeper moves. These factors can make it awkward to adopt a new sleeping position. While not as restrictive as a traditional memory foam mattress, the Nighslee is missing responsive components such as latex or coils that help facilitate movement in latex and hybrid models.
Most couples prefer a bouncier surface for sex, and some may find that the Nighslee leaves something to be desired. This lack of bounce is a common trait for memory foam mattresses, which don’t have the responsiveness of hybrid or latex mattresses. Weak edge support may also limit the usable surface area during sex.
On the other hand, the Nighslee mattress is quiet and offers traction. Some couples may value these attributes even more than a bouncy surface. Ultimately, the suitability of the Nighslee mattress for sex depends on the needs of each particular couple.
The Nighslee is made of synthetic foams that may emit some off-gassing odors when the mattress is first unboxed. This is a normal occurrence with mattresses that have been shrink-wrapped for shipping, as they haven’t had a chance to air out yet.
The smell is caused by volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are a by-product of the foam manufacturing process. They are considered harmless, and the smell should disappear within a few days as long as the mattress is left in well-ventilated space.
The Nighslee mattress provides ample cushioning for side sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds. Mattresses with a medium feel tend to be well-suited to side sleepers thanks to their ability to resist pressure build-up at key contact points.
The memory foam in the Nighslee mattress conforms to the body to minimize pressure points in the hips and shoulders, while the firmer foams underneath provide a stable base to ensure these heavier body parts don’t sink in too deeply. Overall, the mattress forms a pressure-relieving cradle that helps improve spinal alignment.
Side sleepers who weigh more than 230 pounds may find the mattress a touch on the soft side. These sleepers exert more pressure on the mattress and usually require a firmer surface to maintain proper spinal alignment.
Back sleepers of most body types receive an even balance of pressure relief and spinal support from the Nighslee mattress. This is especially true of back sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds.
Back sleepers require a firm surface that is supportive enough to keep the spine aligned. However, they also benefit from a certain amount of contouring to prevent pressure build-up in the lumbar region. The Nighslee mattress has a medium feel, with a combination of memory foam and firmer transitional and support layers that are able to fulfill both requirements.
By contrast, back sleepers who weigh more than 230 pounds may find the mattress lacks support. These sleepers typically need a firmer surface to prevent sagging under the hips, which can disrupt spinal alignment and lead to back pain.
Due to its medium feel, most stomach sleepers find the Nighslee mattress less than ideal. While the mattress has a solid support system that is adequate for most sleeping positions, the top layer of memory foam may be too plush for stomach sleepers.
Stomach sleepers are liable to experience excessive sink in the midsection, which can put pressure on the lower back and the neck. To prevent this problem, people who sleep primarily on their stomach usually opt for firmer mattresses that can keep the spine on an even plane.

A 10-year limited warranty covers manufacturing and workmanship defects in the Nighslee mattress. Warranties are valid for the original purchaser of a mattress purchased from an authorized channel, provided the mattress has not left the U.S. Owners must be able to provide the original purchase receipt when submitting a warranty claim.
The warranty covers visible sagging of at least 3/4 inch in the foam, as well as flaws that result in tears or unraveled stitching. Mattresses must be used with an appropriate foundation in order to qualify for warranty coverage.
The warranty does not extend to damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper handling, storage, and maintenance, inappropriate use of the mattress, or exposure to extreme conditions. Nor does it apply to minor imperfections or cosmetic flaws such as uneven surfaces or corners. Torn, stained, soiled, burnt, discolored, moldy, or damp mattresses may not qualify for warranty coverage. The warranty does not cover individual comfort preferences, allergies, sensitivities, or naturally occurring aromas.
Customers should submit warranty claims to Nighslee through email, attaching proof of purchase, a description of the problem, and photo evidence where possible. Nighslee may request further information or inspection of the mattress before approving a warranty claim.
At its discretion, Nighslee will either repair defective components or replace the mattress with a similar model. In the latter case, customers can agree to pay the difference in order to upgrade to a better model.
The warranty is non-prorated, meaning the terms remain the same throughout the length of the warranty. Repairing or replacing a defective mattress does not extend the original length of the warranty or start a new warranty period.
