Most essentially, deep pocket bed sheets stay put and fit more comfortably when you have a deeper mattress, such as a pillow-top option or an Organic Luxury Mattress.

Our Deep Pocket Sheets (also available in rare Suvin cotton) include exceptionally deep, 22-inch pockets. The increased depth (our standard sheets are 16” deep) allows the sheets to easily fit over the thickest of mattresses, including our Organic Luxury Mattress, and comfortably stay in place without bunching.
SILKY SATEEN FINISH
The beauty of our Deep Pocket Organic Cotton Sheets is in their sateen finish — a tight weave that makes the sheets feel silky and soft to the touch. Sateen adds a lustrous sheen to the sheets, adding a luxurious, cozy feel to the organic materials.
MORE THREADS, MORE COMFORT
The “thread count” is the number of threads woven together in one square inch of fabric. These numbers are often inflated — most sheets are multi-ply, which means threads are layered and twisted to gain a higher count for marketing purposes, while compromising the sheet’s quality. Our Deep Pocket Organic Cotton Sheets are a true 600 thread count single-ply made of extra long staple organic cotton, so they are finer and softer.
RESPONSIBLY MADE
Made with a manufacturing process that reduces water and electricity consumption, our Deep Pocket Organic Cotton Sheets are pre-washed and processed to maintain a neutral pH level providing a safe touch to the skin. We’ve also worked to reduce the amount of wasted fabric during production. The effort is part of the broader environmental mission, like our Farm to Mattress concept, that drives Avocado.
TRANSPARENT & ETHICAL
Our cotton is purchased directly from family growers to ensure 100% traceability. We believe in getting to know the farmers and experiencing the farms where the cotton is grown. Each bale of cotton arrives at our cotton mill for processing with a unique number, allowing complete traceability from the farm to the final production process. This process uses the latest technology to create the most efficient, productive cotton spinning system in the world — essential to produce the finest quality yarns available anywhere.

Single-Ply Yarns

For standard cottons, or even most other long staple cottons, a high thread count does not translate to a better quality sheet. Using single-ply yarns, most cottons achieve a maximum thread count of around 400-500. After that, multi-ply yarn must be used, which generally indicates a lower quality cotton that needs multiple plies woven together for strength. No multi-ply yarn is used in our organic cotton sheets.

Care Instructions

Wash with like colors in cool water. Use mild natural liquid detergent. Do not use fabric softeners, bleach or whiteners. Line dry or tumble dry low and remove promptly. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets reduce the absorbency of cotton textiles and are not recommended. As a natural alternative use wool dryer balls. Iron hot or steam as needed.
