Over 50 million of Americans suffer from sleep disorders yet a large majority of them are undiagnosed and untreated. The National Sleep Foundation has been working with patients, people affected by drowsy driving, sleep professionals, volunteers and the members of the National Sleep Awareness Roundtable to:
We need your help to educate Congress that more must be done to further sleep research, reduce the prevalence drowsy driving, and improve the lives of those with sleep disorders. Ultimately, your support will save lives. Our goal is to expand funding for sleep programs at the CDC to support increased data collection and surveillance activities; the creation of education and awareness materials for the public and health care professionals; and the establishment of fellowship opportunities for promising researchers at universities and colleges.
