Max Hirshkowitz, PhD, DABSM, is the director of the Sleep Disorders and Research Center of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, TX, and the clinical director of the Methodist Diagnostic Hospital Sleep Disorders Laboratory. He is also an associate professor in both the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.
