Lorraine Wearley, PhD

Lorraine Wearley, PhD, a past president of NSF, now heads her own consulting firm, Lorraine Wearley Consulting, LLC, coaching individuals and teams with a specialty in navigating transitions and change, enhancing workplace and life skills developing leaders and increasing team effectiveness.

She is retired from the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies where her last position held was as Vice President of R&D Operations in Consumer and Personal Products Worldwide.

Dr. Wearley is a member of the Sleep Disorders Research Advisory Board for the National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. She was a member of NSF's board from 1997-2002, and also served as a director of the Narcolepsy Network. An adjunct professor at Rutgers University, Dr. Wearley received her B.S. in Chemistry from Michigan State University, and her PhD in Pharmaceutics from Rutgers.
