John Palmer is a veteran television news broadcaster. During his forty years on the air, Palmer covered breaking news throughout the world. As White House correspondent for NBC, he covered Presidents Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter. Palmer also served as news anchor for the Today show on NBC. Palmer served posts in Beirut, Tel Aviv, New York, Washington, DC, and was chief NBC news correspondent in Paris. Palmer is a graduate of Northwestern University and earned a Master's Degree from Columbia University. He was honored with White House Press Corp's Merriam Smith Award for Excellence in Presidential News Coverage. Today, Palmer is involved with television documentaries, commercial films and videos, special events and speaking engagements for colleges and private organizations. He is also the host of The Informed Citizen, a show for Retirement Living Television that explores the political and financial issues of interest to viewers age 55 and older. |
