Fred W. Turek, PhD is director of the Center for Circadian Biology & Medicine at Northwestern University. A leading researcher of biological rhythms, Dr. Turek has served on scientific committees and panels of nearly a dozen organizations including the National Academy of Sciences, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) -- National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH), National Institute on Aging (NIA), and National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) National Center on Sleep Disorders Research (NCSDR). Dr. Turek earned his PhD in biological sciences from Stanford University in 1973. |
