You can help the National Sleep Foundation attract promising new investigators to the field of sleep research by making a special contribution to support its Postdoctoral Research Fellowships. These highly competitive Pickwick Postdoctoral Research Fellowships are supervised by recognized mentors in the field and allow their recipients to dedicate the majority of their time to their research during the two-year Fellowship. Contributions to support research at the $100 level and above qualify the donor as a Member of NSF's Pickwick Club (named for Charles Dickens’ novel The Pickwick Papers in which a character with sleep apnea is first presented). Pickwick Club members receive the same benefits as other Annual Members at the same level of giving plus a subscription to Sleep Medicine Alert and a special Pickwick Club pin. Supporting Member Level and above are listed in NSF's annual report and its annual online Honor Roll. Donations of $25 or more to support research received before May 15, 2007 will also receive a copy of The New Yorker Collection of Sleep & Health Cartoons, a $10 value that is perfect for your coffee table, nightstand or waiting room (while supplies last). Become a member of the Pickwick Club by registering or by completing and returning a downloadable form. (Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat to download this form) |
