Over 50 million of Americans suffer from sleep disorders yet a large majority of them are undiagnosed and untreated. The National Sleep Foundation has been working with patients, people affected by drowsy driving, sleep professionals, volunteers and the members of the National Sleep Awareness Roundtable to:
1. Promote sleep as a healthy behavior,
2. Raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of sleep disorders; and
3. Explain the consequences of sleep deprivation, such as workplace accidents and drowsy driving.
We need your help to educate Congress that more must be done to further sleep research, reduce the prevalence drowsy driving, and improve the lives of those with sleep disorders. Ultimately, this work will save lives.
Please contact your members of Congress today by visiting http://www.sleepfoundation.org/advocacy
Thank you.
