National Sleep Foundation’s Recommendations for Bedroom Environment to be Featured on The Balancing Act Airing on Lifetime Television
Washington, DC, October 12, 2011- The National Sleep Foundation’s recommendations for creating the right environment for a great night’s sleep will be featured on The Balancing Act which airs daily on Lifetime television. The episode will air at 7:00 am ET/PT on October 24 and November 21, 2011.
The segment will focus on the National Sleep Foundation’s official room darkening curtains—SoundAsleep™ Room Darkening Curtain by Ellery Homestyles—and how sleep affects overall health. SoundAsleep’s room darkening technology reduces penetrating light which offers a key component necessary for a better night’s sleep…..darkness.
“Sleeping in a dark room is one of our top recommendations for a good night sleep,” said David Cloud, CEO of the National Sleep Foundation who will appear in the The Balancing Act television segment. “Controlling light exposure can help people sleep better, and we are proud to work with Ellery Homestyles to distribute National Sleep Foundation educational materials with each Sound Asleep™ curtain.”
Ellery Homestyles, a leading home fashions supplier, has been selected by the National Sleep Foundation to develop window curtains to help consumers get a better night’s sleep.
Besides reducing penetrating light, SoundAsleep curtains also reduce outside noise and their thermal properties aid in reducing home heating and cooling costs. They come in a versatile, woven chenille textured fabric and are available in 10 fashion colors, an assortment of lengths and are easy care/machine washable.
As an added bonus, the SoundAsleep curtains come with a copy of the National Sleep Foundation educational brochure “Controlling Light for Better Sleep.”
“This partnership capitalizes upon the National Sleep Foundation's expertise in sleep education and Ellery's expertise in design and manufacturing to give everyone the tools to get a better night’s sleep,” said Budd Goldman, CEO of Ellery.
SoundAsleep Room Darkening Curtains can be purchased at a wide variety of online merchants including www.amazon.com. More information about the curtains is available at www.SoundAsleepCurtains.com.
